Population: Zero, a webcomic by Tim Maughan and Tobias Beis

Hello hello hello and welcome to Population: Zero

A new webcomic by artist Tobias Beis (Aka Threeshades) and writer Tim Maughan (Aka Lyinginbedmon).

It follows the journey of a group of characters as they look for something of great important whilst being pursued by authorities of a nasty sort (Yup, that explains a lot, huh? Don't worry, it gets less spoiler-y later on).

Updates once a week on Mondays around 00:00 GMT

And so, here we go:

ArchiveFiller comics
  1. Darn you, retributive characters!
  2. D&D NPCs versus WoW Mages
  3. State of Affairs: Races in society
  4. State of Affairs: The Environment
  5. State of Affairs: Technology
  6. Emergency Broadcast
  7. Michael Palin & the Goblins P1
  8. Michael Palin & the Goblins P2

We hope it is okay if we shamelessly advertise our project here as long as we don't stand on our own 2 legs (that is to say, a solid fanbase and our own web domain (We are working on it!)).

Ice breaker much?

Alright, I was prepared for little feedback, but a total lack of interest? That caught me flat footed. :sweatdrop

Sooo... two questions.

1.) Does it have a website, or is it all just uploaded to Imageshack/Photobucket?

2.) ...It has as much filler as it does actual comic-comic?

Well I'll be honest, this is the first time I even noticed this thread.

... that said there's really not a lot anyone (read: I) can say about this comic at the moment, since both plot and characters are largely unknown quantities - but that said on the whole my reaction does go more towards "would read" than "ew." But I'd really need to read more of it.

1.) No website of yet, we are still gauging interest, hence the forum thread.

2.) That is due to an unfortunate start of the comic. I was leaving the country for a month and couldnt work on new pages which is why those weeks were filled up. But the relation is going to get a little more reasonable over the next weeks.

Well yes, that is because it is still in the opening phase, but there is still some art and humor to talk about. Right?

There's plenty of places to get free webcomic hosting--DrunkDuck and SmackJeeves if you're in a hurry, ComicGenesis if you have more long term plans. It'd be alot easier to pick up interest that way, too, since those sites tend to advertise the comics they host, if nowhere else then at least on their own site.

It'd be a better way to gauge interest than just hitting up the 8-Bit forums, anyway. I mean, this couldn't hurt, but having a website would make a massive impact on the whole affair.

At the moment we're putting something together for a website, but it'll still be a while.

That and we're both not big fans of webcomic hosts having seen the page quality of them. We're hoping for something far more dedicated and individually suited to the comic itself.

New page is up for inspection. Have fun and remember to comment :)

This one features a lot of background one-time cameos, so don't worry if the market patrons seem completely crazy.
