All satanical/creepy/webcomic references aside, is this game worth my time/money?

If this is the game with cards and nine sides, YES. You WILL love this game. Otherwise, just ignore this until you get said game.

That's the one. You scan in your deck, you can play all around the world. The graphics are heavenly, and there's little chances to cheat. Of course, with the webcam, there's a few times it may not read a card but with cards coming out all the time, I loved playing this game and making new decks. But always have a friend there with you. It only increases the fun factor. :)

I'm completely susceptible to card game and video game obsessions, so when I heard that they fused them together I was like oh fuck no, no way I'm going to fall into that trap. Tycho is like my writing idol, and I heard how addicted he got into the game.

It's this and Lair I'm curious about. So if this is apparently worth it...

No, really... as far as everything i've seen and heard about, go with the first to dodge the bullet that is the second one.

But how is EoJ not prone to cheating? I heard that the webcam would ready even Xerox copies of the cards!

Grab EoJ, and then scrub your memory of considering buying Lair. Then go buy something good like Uncharted or Ratchet and Clank. Or better yet, wait until Littlebigplanet comes out. That game is seriously making me consider getting a PS3.

What's so bad about Lair?
