First Custom Sprite
 

It's a self portrait. I was wondering what you all thought of it. I eventually plan to learn html, and maybe make a webcomic.

The head and body are based off of FFVI, and the head is just a recolor.

It's decent. I couldn't remember who you were till I saw your avatar, sorry (I identify most people by avatars. so don't change 'em!), so I was expecting a JPEG hand drawn in mspaint with no wacom tablet. But now that I actually see it, it's decent. It doesn't seem very special at this point. Right now it's more like a generic modern town character. If you want him to really represent you make him different, unique, you know what I mean.

Good start though.

As for the 'generic feel' thing, give him a sword. A big sword Guarantees a personality. *Rolls eyes*

Hm. Now if I can find a decent Locke pose to stick Crono's sword in... :P

He's supposed to look normal. At least I think that's where I'm bringing the comic if I get that far.

Yeah, I know, but he feels less identifiable and more just "welcome to coneria," you know?

Not bad, really. Sprite edits are good fun, especially if they so excellently emulate the style of the original.

If you're really interested in spriting, head on over to Pixelation, a community for that specific activity.

(Beware, I went there with edits once, and got my head ripped off. XP)

More of an action pose...

Ahh, nice.

The action pose looks better.
Not just because it's an action pose, but in the first sprite, the hair started 1 pixel too high.

That's my opinion anyway. Just thoughts.

The hair? It's Edgar's face in both. It CAN'T be one pixel too high.
