Where the hell is my anime

saturdays are now just re-runs of sunday, and toonami is dead, couldn't have been doing that poorly in the ratings

To answer your question: it's on the internet. The rest is up to you.

Also: with it's line-up? Oh yes it could have :p

This, of course, raises a question that most likely only I want to know:

Who the fuck's getting Shippuden?

And RIP, Toonami. You made growing up a lot less sucky.

Aerozord 09-22-2008 12:26 PM

well toonami they ran into the ground, with the ONLY new episodes being Naruto filler, not even Samurai Jack could salvage that. But what about the anime on adult swim? Whats their excuse

Apparently the whole thing started when Code Geass's ratings plummeted. WHICH HAPPENED AFTER THEY MOVED IT TO A 5 AM SLOT.

They run Inuyasha for god knows how many fucking years, but Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, or anything else they ever ran that was fucking good gets the godamn shaft, and now this crap?

If I want to watch the kind of stuff they're showing now, I'd go look for some fucking flash animations on Newgrounds.

Their excuse is that they have decided everyone that watches Adult Swim is extremely high, and to make shows that no long appeal to people who arent.

but really TV showings of it are not the best bet

I've not gone to Cartoon Network for anything anime in a while. Even shows I enjoy have been played to death there. I either get it to own it, find other sources (On Demand, Intertubes, friends' collections, etc.), or thankfully make use of Sci-Fi's relatively recent Ani-Mondays. It's at least a start, as far as televised anime is concerned.

Apparently Code Geass had horrible ratings, which is awesome because only masochists like me should ever watch it and the show is goddamn ridiculous.

Sci-Fi is the one spearheading the new "in" anime block anyway, with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Now and Then, Here and There.

the ratings were only terrible because adult swim is a bunch of stupid motherfuckers who moved it to 5 in the fucking morning and slotted the midnight hours with motherfucking assy McGee and similar shit of a shit nature.

Though I'd prefer less Now and Then. So boring.

I'd have done my minuscule +1 viewer part if they'd show more during the weekdays. I don't plant myself in front of television on Saturdays, the only night they've seemed to want to air [newer] anime for quite a while.

At least Sci-Fi is potentially being smart about it by choosing Monday and Tuesday evenings at easily-caught times.
