Note To Self: Don't Go On The Bus Anymore

So yeah. After the whole... y'know, beheading incident and such, I'm just gonna go ahead and hoof it.

It wasn't clear if the victim had been stabbed, "but he was bleeding, anyway," Sabourin told a Thunder Bay newspaper. "It was pretty loud."
So, a loud bleeder, eh?

Also, this is another Greyhound incident... Northwest and co will be happy about this!

High blood pressure maybe.

BitVyper 09-23-2008 02:27 AM

Of course. Where do you think anime got all its gushing blood sound effects from? You didn't think they were just exaggerating it for dramatic effect, did you?

Y'know... im getting a "Death Note" Vibe all over this

But seriously though, i just hope this is not a new "trend"

BitVyper 09-23-2008 02:48 AM

There've been a number of bus-slayings in the news lately. We had two around here not that long ago. People are actually getting a bit paranoid about the whole thing.

It almost makes me feel bad about the time I threatened a kid on the bus with gruesome violence if he wouldn't stop pestering the girl he was sitting with.

I like buses though. I'll never stop going on them.

Wow, I just hope this sort of thing doesn't start happening on trains, or I'll really be out of luck.

Although I might make a few wisecracks about stabbings in Canada, I'd rather ride a Canadian greyhound than a CTA bus or train--I'll take the risk of being stabbed over the risk of being shot, stabbed, mugged, raped, or all of the above any day of the week. The Pace buses aren't as bad...yet...but I'm still avoiding public transportation at all costs, as there are some people in the area who make it their personal mission to make anyone who tries to use public transportation for any reason as miserable as humanly possible.

Really strange. I certainly hope it doesn't develop into a trend.

I haven't rode the greyhound but I've used a couple different transit services and they definitely seem to cater to certain demographics. Fortunately I mostly use GO Transit and GO riders tend to be pretty passive.

FloralVikings 09-23-2008 02:21 PM

Now I'm really not going to use buses =)
