Now I may be way way WAY out in left field, but could it be that V has an attraction with Haley?

Probably more that V has anything but an attraction to Belkar. Between that and Roy being dead that leaves Haley as the only responsible missing member so looking for her only makes sense.

He could look for Belkar but he doesn't want to, he could look for Roy but Roy isn't even alive, so it's "Haley."

Also V and Haley have been friends for a long time, and I'd rather give Burlew more credit than to do "OMG LOVE TRIANGLE."

And I don't mean in love. But if you look at the history between the two, V and Haley are usually together. There is a comic where V says to Miko. "I only room with MIss Starshine."

And if she was worried about Roy she would say. We need to find Haley so we can get Roy Back. But V never says that.

Burfew is a good writer. He might be doing it subtly that not even V knows that there is an attraction. Perhaps an unconscious thing. It does happen in real life.

I very much doubt it. I'm pretty sure V cares for her, but I don't think he feels anything for her beyond friendship. Plus he's married if I recall correctly.

Then again, you know, elves.

Burlew's already promised that, whatever the results may be, Varsuvius' wife/husband will show up by the end of the comic's run.

I like to think that Order of the Stick will officially be over when V makes his gender officially known. Like Janitor's name.
