Is it me or was Age of Apocolypse like the coolest X-men series ever?

no its not you, age of the apocalypse is the best, especially because of archangel

Ah. Good cause for a minute there I was feeling lonely on that gem of a topic. *liked Blink for some reason.....*

There was no Archangel in Age of Apocalypse,he was just crappy ol' Angel who owned a nightclub.

Great series though,I made sure to have every single issue.

It was fun. It was a total breath of fresh air and got me back into X-men comic for the entire run.

Before those it was just really really really boring. It seemed like the X-Men just existed to do massive melodramatic X crossovers to trick you into buying comics you didn't normally like.

How is it possible that the pre Age of Apocalpyse comics actually made me hate Wolverine?

I still haven't recovered in that aspect. I still think Wolverine is waaaaay overrated. Nut he has a obvious coolness to him so his overexposure is a sin.

As was his defeating of Lobo in the DC/Marvel crossover battles. All you X-men groupies who voted Wolverine over Lobo in a fight need to be flogged.

Age of Apocalpyse made Sunfire really cool though. And Morph.

Well there wasn't a Morph before AOA, except for the one in the X-Men cartoon.
Lobo is like Wolverine to the Nth degree, at least Wolvie has a few redeeming qualities to him like the memory implants and what not.

Morph was great! And did I mention Blink? mmm Blink.

Regardless. Event the most obssessed "fanboy" should be able to fight off his biases enough to give Lobo the win. He can't die. He's simply not allowed.

And oh boy I'm going to hit my wolverine diatribe. But all that memory implant mumbo jumbo and stuff. It just got really ridiculous.

Besides, Lobo's never los his nose. Ok? Nuff said.
