Stairway to Hevan: Rescue Mission.
You all depart from the mansion as Marcius waves good bye Mike looks back and say "Come on hurry we have'nt got a moment to spare soon those tolarian assholes will be on our tail And I have a bad feeling that they might be led by one tough bastard if Urza is invovled." He says starting pick up pace...
|
"Right right," said Craus, "Humm, I should probably take a sip from my energy drink."
Craus pulls a whisky flask out of his shirt and takes a long swig from it. "Ah yea, now i feel energized." |
ooc: I wasn't around too much yesterday, so here's this:
Luric concentrated on his triage and detection spell, picking up a vile concoction of drugs and slow acting poisons that caused her to hallucinate. The a small crowd had gathered around, and the sound of metal rang outfrom the hall where the assassin had run. The dart had a lethal toxin on it. I'd better get this right the first time He sped out in a low, focused whisper, the cleansing spell. He felt the posions drawing out of her, but same had already reached her brain, and he concentrated harder, his whiper growing to an audible chant. With a rush of energy, he destroyed the toxins, and dissipated their effects. The girl woke quickly, but immediately fell into a torporous slumber. Luric stood and said Let her rest He noticed the Blonde haired girl who had held back the crowd for him, and placed a hand on her shoulder, saying honestly Thank you. -btw- can I switch the sword with a mace? Dressed in his ornamented half-plate, circlet giving off a faint glow, Luric fell in to the group. Studded mace at his side, his greaves barely making noise as he trotted up next to Craus, who was quite possibly the most...er...ecclectic holy man he had ever met. And I suppose there's little question as to what boosts you spirits? He said with a grin |
ooc Sure.
Mike looks back at Luric. "Nice Job when she wakes up try to find out where exactly the temple is located we still have a long way to get to the volcano whihc is the assumed half way point." He said with a grin. "We must keep moving though otherwise those tolarians will catch up and when they do..." Mike said quickly urning around "They're here." He said. Arrows wiz by missing the marks And four assassins pop over the hill with bows and a seperate one cloaked in red "We have the athority to kill you Rasterian Scum. All of you nobles prepare to die." The one in the center said pulling out a gun and a katana. OOC Alright everyone its showtime... |
As the man steps out with gun and katana Janus makes a few very quick gestures and mumbles a few words, and a trail of magical energy connects with him, although it doesn't seem to have any effect at first. The wild mage reaches up and scratches his head. "Now... I could have sworn that was the right spell..." He then reaches into his robes ignoring the rest of the battle and trying to verify that he did indeed cast the spell he had meant to.
(OOC: Spell he cast Paithan's Fiasco (Enchantment/Charm, Alteration, Wild) Level: 6 Range: 10 yards Components: V, S, M Duration: 1 round per level Casting Time: 1 round Area of Effect: 1 creature Saving Throw: Neg., Special This potent spell is an improved version of both Unluck and Bestow Curse. It shifts the probability patterns into a dramatically negative pattern, causing bad results even when they would be highly improbable. The target of the spell gets one saving throw to avoid the spell entirely. If the save fails, the affected creature acts at -4 for the duration of the spell. This applies to everything: attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, proficiency checks, armour class, etc. The spell is cumulative with Unluck and Bestow Curse. Furthermore, the target must save every round for the duration of the spell or a fiasco will occur. If this happens, the target suffers horribly bad luck. The DM must judge what the absolute worst thing that could happen to the character that round is, and apply it. If the target fails a saving throw, she may suffer maximum damage possible. If she is in melee, her weapon may break. If she is casting a spell, it may backfire and affect her. Whatever the effect, it is drastically bad. At the very least, the target may slip and fall prone in front of her enemies. Every time a fiasco occurs, there is a 10% cumulative chance that the spell breaks (if this happens, all fiasco and Unluck spells affecting the target also break). In any case, when the spell ends, there is a 50% chance that the target will be affected by the reverse effect of Unluck in the next round, as she "rebounds" from her stretch of bad luck. The potency of this spell carries a risk with it. When cast, if the caster's Wild Magic Level Variation roll is below 4, a backfire occurs as follows: d20 Effect 4 Spell functions as normal 3 Caster and target effected 2 Only Caster effected 1 Caster effected by both Paithan's Fiasco and Unluck. The material component of this spell is a bit of fur from a black cat. I'll let spirit decide what exactly happens to the poor guy. I figure he trips and impales himself while accidently shooting someone else in his own group or something like that... while allowing Ranger's spell to hit another, leaving only one guy. Also: Damnit ranger! can't you read oocs. I said I'd take out that guy. *mutter* I have a whole file full of wild magic spells to choose from, you know...) |
ooc: Damn you, krylo, damn you.
Luric turned his head at the sound, an arrow whizzed past his face, deflecting off to the side, off of the force barrier projected by the circlet. The leader of the assasins spoke, and Luric became entirely sure of his next course of action. They intend to kill With that, he concentrated for a moment, a bright light building in his hand, and spun, throwing his arm in the direction of the asssassins, two intensely bright lights streaking out and circling one assassin in opposite directions before converging on his gun in the blink of an eye. The weapon becomes superheated in an instant and the powder within it bursts violently. |

OOC Wow Krylo Nice choice...
You all see the man with the gun's pistol backfire on him shooting him in a he head causing him to drop the gun which hits another assassin in the back... The other assassins see this and one of them blows a horn of some sort. All the sudden from another hill comes a man wearing a funny looking helmet that is adorned with the head of a chicken the horns of a goat and the tail of a squirrel and is bright pink and with a whirl wind of arm movement he summons a small squirrel looking creature and an elephant. The other assissins start to smile. Mike looks up "Well guys meet Lazuras summoner extrodenare, Don't be fooled that little squirrel thing is deadly." Mike says. Edit The Squirrel looks like the below image OOC Krylo now would be a good time for that hit points spell... |
Janus glanced up as the gun went off twice and grinned widely. "Well, what do you know! I guess I had the right spell after all... now then, what's going on here... a squirrel. Awww... He's so cute!" Mike's comment then registered, however, and Janus began shifting through his robes and looking for another very specific, if odd, spell. When he had found it he pulled it out and read off the words while making hand gestures and wobbling up closer to the summoner and his creatures, until he was within sixty feet. Still a safe distance, but a bit closer than his compatriarts. When he finally released his spell bright neon numbers appeared above his head, the squirrel's head, the summoner's head, the elephant's head, and most everyone else's for that matter.
(OOC: Spell he cast THIS time. Käsegott's Neon Hit Points (Divination, Wild) Level: 2 Range: 0 (Must be centred on caster) Components: V, S, M Duration: 1 round per 2 levels Casting Time: 2 Area of Effect: 60' radius circle from caster Saving Throw: None This spell affects a number of creatures within the area of effect equal to half the casters level rounded up. The creatures affected are randomly determined from all creatures in the area of effect, not including the caster. Note that the spell does not discriminate between the caster's friends and foes. The spell causes the targets' hit points to flash in a bright neon colour above the targets' head. This number will appear in the native language of the caster; anyone who can read this language can read the hit point number as well. Creatures who are held, petrified, asleep, unconscious, or otherwise inactive are not included in the random determination. Creatures who are invisible, hiding in shadows, or otherwise unknown to the caster, are likewise not included. A creature under the effects of an illusion which the caster has not disbelieved will have the illusory hit points flash, rather than their actual hit point values. The above restrictions only apply to the initial random determination of targets. If a creature affected by the spell becomes unconscious, petrified, invisible, etc., the hit points continue to flash over their head. If one of the targets was under the effect of an illusion and the caster subsequently disbelieves it (or its duration expires), the neon hit points will update to show the new perceived value. Note that while the concept of hit points is one of game mechanics, and in actuality has no meaning the player characters observing this spell's effects, the number shown can be interpreted by the characters as a relative measure of strength and health of the creatures affected. The material component of this spell is a small piece of coloured glass. I figure he'll probably have to explain what the hell the numbers mean, and we'll just say they're a rough/wild guess at the relative strength and health of creatures... a 'badass' meter if you will. I.E. The fact that the squirrels number is higher than most everyone else's would mean it's badass.) |
Everyone sees the numbers Over the squirrel the number 5 appears. Over the elephant a 30 appears. Over Lazuras a 30 appears. over the 3 remaining assassins 15s appear. The squirrel seeing his number starts to act a little weird. It speeds up and charges towards the group. The elephant seeing its number starts to make quite a ruckus and heads twoards Janus. Lazuras starts to laugh "well well Some one is smart enough to know how to play the counting game... Well lets see if you can count this!" and then Lazuras starts to flail his arms around as if doing a spell of somesort...
|
"Useless, a futile gesture from a man whose fate has been sealed."
Even as Lazuras began casting, Antaeus had already begun the motions of his countermagic and was matching the spell to Lazuras' own. |
