Terrible Webcomic Ideas
So, ever had the best-worst idea for a webcomic ever? One that is such a trainwreck of writing and all notions of entertainment that you just have to watch it burn?
How about this. Think if Star Wars Episode I was a sitcom, but all the characters were played by Chrono Trigger sprites. Have Magus as Darth Maul as the Dad. Marle as Queen Amadala as the Mom. Frog as Anakin as the youngest boy. Wash, rinse, repeat. I bet that would ruin CT for Fifth even. |
Me and my friend tried to think of all possible combinations for a "two guys on a couch talking about videogames" webcomic.
I think we finally settled on two videogames sitting on a person talking about couches. |
Yeah, it would be pretty hard to draw two couches sitting on a video game, talking about people.

To just plain godawful?
|
How about recliner chairs instead of couches? It would be even funnier...

I know, the fact that you pegged Frog for anakin?! What is wrong with you? Frog is just way too awesome to be Anakin.
|
And that is the exact reason I did so.
|
Now I'm getting this awful CT trigger version of SW episode 3 in my head.
|
Well, in CC, it's ALMOST like that.
Lynx: "SERGE! I am... your FATHER!" Serge: "NOOOOO! It's not true! You're a furry!" Edit: Actually, Blue Psychic was originally intended to be a bunch of random crap that bothered me mixed in with some real-life events with a large helping of pure fantasy in a modern world environment. I'm kinda glad it didn't happen that way. Thinking about its erratic structure at this point makes it sound like less of a good idea, since much of it was of a personal nature and there wasn't nearly enough planned for the reader. I'm journaling now, instead. |

Actually a CT version of SW E3 would be an improvement...
|
Robo: Is Lucca okay, is she safe?
Magus: In your fit of rage, I'm afraid you killed her. Robo: Nooooooooooooooooo |
I once thought it would be entertaining to do a "slice of life" comic about some roommates called "Party of Four." Each character would be normal people, but exemplify each of the core roles set forth in the new 4th Ed incarnation of D&D. Many role-playing references would about and hijinks would ensue as the party of friends came across all manner of trouble in the world of communal living.
I haven't decided yet if this is a good idea or a terrible one. It never happened because I have not artist and my story telling prowess is more geared to short stories and now long running tales. |
I got one but i think its to complicated (like tev i don't know if this is good or bad)
i couldn't think of a name for it but here is what its about A genius that is immortal because he "Has no life" A even smarter Genius that went insane and started thinking life was a beta game (so much so that he can now respawn and do "Glitches") A Interdenominational Fire elemental/Fox demones. That is there for her adulthood (in which she must ether wait for the end of the universe or make a friend with a human...and so she waits) The Fire/fox's hat who was a fox but now is a kind of zombie that lives off of her dark thoughts. A Super advanced AI that the first genius made that hates its creator and actually tries to kill him at times and insult him a others a Ninja that gets into fights with his ninja clans worst enemies...THE MR.MUFFINS who are living muffins with chopsticks for arms and legs (they only appear when he is alone and they move in Packets of 12) |
i once tried to make a web short-comic using FF2 and FF3 sprites.
It was basicly about 2 brothers (a he and a she) doing a "Hire a Hero" agency, but midway, they find a new Half-elf chracter who joins them because he wants to bang the Main guy's sister (and he does...), and find his father's killer. And when it's all going to the crapper, they find the Half-Elf mom (Full fledge 300 years old elf) who gets to hots for the main guy, and bangs him too... And the story is pretty much they travelling togethe doing heroics! |

I haven't hit the stage where people don't find my stories entertaining yet, in all likelihood I passed it about half a decade ago and just haven't been writing for a long while.
I personally rarely think of my stories as being "good", but somehow others consider them such so I keep going. |

Plus alot of the "Extras" are as stupid as fighter |
An entire fantasy, anime, or sci fi comic filled with a hero team of Mary Sues.
|
I wonder how you would work a team filled entirely with Mary Sues given as a Mary Sue is generally the single most important focus of attention and inconceivably better than every other character etc. etc.
Actually now that I think of it, some decent writer could probably wring a pretty okaycomic out of a whole castful of would-be Mary Sues all competing to be the Mary Suesiest. |
Make some sort of reality show out of it.

No, but really, that's awful, and you should feel bad. |
It's so nice having never read Dominic Deegan, because whenever someone mentions that they hate it and why, I'm blissfully unaware.
My submission: Any sprite-based webcomic using Cho Anki sprites. |

I had an idea for a comic the other day wherein it's the 2012 election, and the two party system has been taken to the most ridiculous extreme:
Panel 1: Man watching TV. TV: "Vote now! Text Obama or McCain to 58008!" Panel 2: Man pulls out cell phone and texts. Panel 3: View changes to over his shoulder, looking at screen which reads "Thank you, all other decisions will be automatically selected to fit your probable political views." Man: "Hey!" |
