what is your favorite dnd class?
doing this for a school project. plz answer poll
|
I fancy the Bard class myself. Just seems to me that it's more realistic for a performer to be wandering the countryside in search of his fortune then a big burly swordsman. It's a lot easier to make a living on the arts then by stabbing things.

I always liked paladins and necromancers. Kind of opposites but they're both great.
|
i prefer the paladin as well mainly because they have the fear immunity and do great against dragons because of it while other class scream and run at the sight of a dragon.

I like rouges; they are the "I can do everything!" class.

I like Fighters best. I love the feats and the different weapons and weapon attribute/feat combos that can come from playing Fighters.
Druids are also a lot of fun, and I once made a Druid/Fighter. That was really cool. (Proficiency in clubs and such. I could cast magic and have good dragon scale armor and wield a hammer made of quartz, and other such things. I know awesome DMs.) But it's hard to get a DM who will give you privelage enough to have quite so much fun with such an amazingly versatile class as that, so pure Fighter remains my favorite. |
Sorcerers are great fun to play. If I had a second vote, I'd go bard.
|
Some of the prestige classes are pretty badass. I'm about to start a powergame with a Lv. 16 Assassin (10 Assassin, 6 Rogue). I'm going to be a walking stealth-killing machine... hell, my sneak attack does 8d6 alone. Successfully studying an opponent for three rounds without being detected gives me the option of instantly killing/paralyzing any corporeal being, which isn't too shabby either.
|
Which reminds me. If I had a third vote, I'd go rogue.
Infernal: take the first level of shadow dancer. Its all you need to turn your character from good to virtually unstoppable (hide in plain sight) |
Your poll is seriously lacking in barbarians, who are my favorite characters to play. Rage, super-huge hit points, damage reduction, and uncanny dodge.
Plus, barbarians can take up the bear warrior prestige class, which is fun. If you've got a cool DM, you can change the animal type to just about anything as long as you choose transformations of challenge ratings equivalent to the bear forms. |
