It would take about two minutes to melt through stuff cleanly. So it would be just alittle easier to get through plate mail, but still kind of hard.

People... If it was only weapons almost everyone would have to have magic weapons (A piece of metal won't due anything). My guy is going to drain people and use their abilities/attributes, and I was asking if he can take the attributes/abilities of magical weapons and items into himself or an item/weapon he is holding for a short period of time.

Edit - If you still want a white mage, my guy could have accidently held onto a white mage for to long before and permanatly has some weak white magic.

I don't know if a minute per second would be too reasonable, but the idea sounds alright. Just make sure that you don't steal everyone's ability and then take care of the battle all by yourself. And all of the abilities you would steal would be slightly tones down from the original.

EDIT: And I don't mind if you don't have a white mage in your group.

Also: I'm ok with Lazy's sword now, too. As if that matters... and I'm disappointed in IHMN not pointing out the potential uber-power if it was immediate meltage.

Edit: Minute per second sounds ok to me. A second is longer than you would at first think when you're talking about grabbing someone in a fight... and a minute is shorter than you might think when you're fighting for your life.

If anything, it should get more time per second... but one minute per second seems reasonable.

I think he was just busy arguing his point to get his own powers first.

I think he's just trying to see how he can manipulate everyone again... or maybe he's just thinking of something unique for his character.

I was thinking that the down side is what he absorbs is equal to the targets, but he also gets memories and their mind and such, so the more he absorbs the more he has to fight back in his mind, and the better chance of him going insane. Also, if he tried to absorb an insane person, he would go insane from a couple of seconds of contact.

And I said a couple of seconds per minute, so like four seconds of contact will give him a minute.

Edit - Actually, I'll go with what krylo said.

Also, when he absorbs people, they get weaker. So his allies aren't exactly going to like him absorbing them often.

Oh ok. good point. A second is long in a battle, now that I think about it. Minute per second is alright, as if we'll keep track too. And I don't think IHMN would be too god-moddy with his powers.
