The only part of Darilk's body he could grab would be Darilk's face. Now, I'd assume Darilk wouldn't be consenting to this.

He'd have to keep his hand on Darilk's face for the time it takes you to say "One-one thousand" Apparently four times (from IHMN's last post)... while Darilk is trying to stab him in the gut and pull his head away.

Seems the power would only be extremely usefull if the target was already restrained in some way, or much weaker/really shitty at grappling.

Maybe he'll have the ability to grow tentacles or something for long-range grabs...

If my guy grabbed a tenticle beast, would he grow tenticles, or just be as strong as the beast?

No way in hell is IHMN going to be able to have tenticles in any way, shape, or form. I'll just say that now.

Just wanted to make sure of something. He does have some fighting ability, but since he doesn't have a weapon he'll be useless when attacking monsters or armed things; it'll be mostly to block or parry with his shield (obviously, he won't be able to swing a shield his own size very easily).

IHMN - Meh...my guy isn't that much of a mage slayer, more like a Flagbearer from MTG. Basically a shield (target) against all magic, and he won't absorb any of it. Nor can he cast a spell when using Runic, and even if he did it would just fly back at him. The same thing would happen if he had runic on and a friendly wizard cast the spell.

Didn't see why you couldn't be the mage slayer.

What if they are just small tenticles? When my guy absorbs something/someone, he gets a little bit of their appearance (Again, based on how long he holds them). So if he grabbed Darlik, his eyes would become Darlik's colored eyes, then a second longer he would grow a little (Or shirnk) and be Darlik's size, etc.

If he grabbed a face worm, at first small spikes (Really small) would appear around his body, then a second longer the spikes get longer, then a little longer, then he starts growing a small tail, then tail and his legs turn into worm kinda body, more spikes, etc.

Edit - Mage slayer = Can take magic (But has to do something with it) so probably shots magic back at enemies. That would be the major part of a mage slayer, which is what your shield does. After that he can drain magical energy and cancel out magic in an area, but that takes concentration.

You have no idea, I just had that demonstrated to me in UO about 15 minutes ago... It is still a very Vace remark however, no matter how much trouble it gets him in...
