FFVII Blue magic was pretty much like BLue Magic everywhere else, except that it was called Enemy Skill. And learnign ROulette... oh, I still have nightmares of that.

Edit: Dante, you're insane. Also, it's Darilk, not Darlik... just to be annoying.
You are welcome to edit it yourself. My login is Dante (duh), and my password is ASIFIDTELLYOU... :p

Except that they had those master materia things you could only get by learning a bunch of shit... so... I had more motive than just buffing a character (the blue mage) that I normally wouldn't bother using. And the fact that beta could be gotten early and kicked ass.

Edit: Also, you could equip more than one person with enemy skill, and use one person's enemy skills on another person... which made it easier. Less chance of an enemy hitting someone that can't learn, and you can have one person with a skill teach it to the other materia.

i hope there's still time

Name: Jerick

Age: 28

Appearance: usually wears a black cloak, he has brown hair that he most likely keeps hanging slightly in front of his face. he's about 6 ft even and has piercing deep brown eyes.

Class: sort of a warrior, he has weak psychic skills, such as lifting small objects, and, on occasion if he's feelling strong enough, his enemies.

Equipment: jerick uses a spear known as Zealera. it has a "holy aura" and keeps up his stamina just enough to fight back if need be, but even that doesn't last forever. he wears only light armor, if any, because he likes speed more than defense.

Bio: Jerick comes from a far land, his people are actually very skilled psychics, possibly from their sacred jewel, Gemini. This was kept in a forbidden chamber at the top of a mountain.
Jerick's closest friend, Ruland was a son of the protector of the Gemini, and was therefore next in line to gurad it. As a final test, Ruland was to guard the gem for a month without returning to the village at all. On the final day, although it was forbidden, Jerick (sixteen at the time) went to see his friend only to find his friend dead and the gem shattered. Not long afterward the town discovered the horror and accused Jerick of murder and destruction of the gem, so he fled with the Zealera, a family heirloom. he has been wandering for twelve years, searching for a "twin" to Gemini, because he was never able to complete his psychic training. His power continues to dwindle without it's rays. he also searches for his firend's assassain.

Quote: "It is as though fate enjoys conspiring against me; first i am accused of murder, then i meet you, and now this."

Jerick is a stern man, and although he keeps to himself, he is always willing to lend anything he can in a battle.

Is there a single RP going on right now though? I think everything is in the sign-up phase still.

EDIT: I stand corrected, there is one RP, the HALO RP.

I just noticed a small problem here...

A lot of our characters have abilities and stuff they've had to train to use...

So, say IHMN grabs Vace. Since he's never had to deal with it before, he's running around with lightning zapping everyone within two feet of him.

Grabs our shield guy...Shield starts bouncing between the two of them smacking people.

Grabs a Black Mage, magical death starts flying around at insanely high speeds.

Grabs my guy, everything starts turning into sand, or rice, or something.

And so on, and so forth...

Just felt like pointing that out.

Krylo 04-13-2004 10:08 PM

He also gets some memories... and not even Vace can shoot his powers around randomly. Also: Magic has to do more with knowledge than innate abilities... at least in most universes, thus I assume it is such here too. He grabs someone and gains the knowledge of the abilities...

IHateMakingNames 04-13-2004 10:09 PM

He can control what he absorbs.

Edit - I was just going to respond with "Because I said so", but I like krylo's idea better.

Darth SS 04-13-2004 10:11 PM

That's....kinda' creepy.

Someone would be standing there, and he would bump him, then look at him and say, "You disgust me."

The idea of him getting memories is....more than a little disconcerting.

And remember how I explicitly said my guy is an emotional wreck, that just needs a little push to go over the edge? What happens if IHMN gets into his mind, but doesn't have that personality that keeps him in line?
