Xbox for sale. FROM HELL.
Those of you keeping tabs on forum events will know that I bought an Xbox. And it broke. And I fixed it. And it broke. And I fixed it. And it broke.
I have gotten sick of this cycle. I am currently in the process of fixing its only problem (at the moment), a broken power cable. Once this has been done, the machine will be put up for sale at the low cost of 100 dollars. Im just trying to scrape my wounds and count my losses, then get a NEW Xbox eventually with one of those fancy pants warranty things, so when it breaks it will be Gamestop and/or Microsoft's problem. Now, when I say an Xbox360, I mean just that. A steak n' beans machine with no fancy accessories. It will have the cords, one controller, and the console itself. Technically its a pro model so Im pretty sure it has HD built in. Don't quote me on that last part. Aside from this, buyers beware that the reason I am selling it is because the machine has been deemed cursed. I refuse to have anything to do with it anymore, so to anyone who is willing to risk the curse that it bears, cheap X-360 for sale. CONSOLE HISTORY: Late last december: Sent to MS to have the RROD repaired. Late(er) last december: Case was removed, voiding warranty, to be painted black. Early this year: Purchased online by an unsuspecting Megaman FTW. 2 Days after that: Machine is hooked up and found to be broken. "Unreadable Disk Error" 4 days after that: Unplayable disk error is fixed by applying lubricant to the motor. Repair lasted for only 1 week before problem came back. Since the case clips were damaged by the previous owner, the black case was removed and destroyed. New white casing from ebay put on console. ***console serial number on the label is WRONG. That was on the case when I bought it on e-bay is not accurate.*** After 2 months of going in cycles with greasing it over and over, it was taken apart and had a new disk drive placed in it. Circuit board from the old drive put into new one to make it work. Last week: Power cord eaten by a dog, replacement pending. So, just a warning to all those who want to buy this. Its cheap, and you're going to get what you pay for. Its been refurbished and there are no problems at the moment, but when a gate to hell itself is where your disk drive should be, ye've been warned. Yarrrrrrr! Price is negotiable. Any interested buyers should post or PM me. |
Whomsoever painted a machine known for overheating black, and voiding the warranty by doing so is perhaps the greatest genius of our time.

It's obviously a cursed artifact. How dare you attempt to pawn off this malevolent force?
 I would bury it and never speak of it again after all that. |
I'm vaguely interested, if only to see what I can do with it as a hunk of plastic. "Price is Negotiable" probably means you still want too much for it.

I'll give you the rest of this sandwich.
E: Too late, I ate it |
100 dollars seems like a bargain. It does do more than play games and break, right? Like a cursed monkey paw. You get five (cursed) wishes, after which it falls into pieces, until a new owner acquires it?

The machine is cursed because it's a microsoft product. Need proof? These are the same people who created the windows registry...
