Here I thought this would put the fear of God in Eve Online pod-killers, but what the hell. She didn't kill his toon, she deleted it. But the game masters should be able to fetch a backup. >_>

Ninja edit: The charges are "illegally accessing a computer and manipulating electronic data" if you read carefully. It's not exactly murder, but it is distinctly illegal.

This is the funniest thing in the world...

Though its massively overplayed, as shown by the underplayed statement...

"She has not yet been formally charged. If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison or a fine up to $5,000."

Meaning, she hasn't ben formally charged, and its only a possibility of jail.

Still, the mere fact its possible to go to jail for something like this is sickening. And being taken over 600 miles away to be detained... no. Why not at least detain her where she lives, since she was in her own area and should be convicted by laws of a place she was in rather than foreign ones?

I could go on, but I don't want to start rambling. But I'm gonna go ahead and say its his own damn fault for divorcing her without changing his password to prevent exactly this kind of thing.

And yes, I do find this humorous. Scary, but humorous.
