My only plausible dream job is weapons designer, which will take years to achieve, but I'm already working towards it. I already have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and have my application in for the Air Force officer program. I plan to start out in assembly/testing and work towards R&D. After 6-10 years, depending on how much I like the job, I'll get out and join one of the civilian manufacturing companies.
Eventually I plan to start my own business, but that will depend on how much freedom I have to do my own thing. -Anim PS. My other two dream jobs are freelance law-enforcement and god of death, if anyone knows of any openings. |

My dream job is to be a concept artist, storyboard artist, or ever animator for anything. Ideally some big animation company like Pixar. I have a friend who animates for the people who animated movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks, and it would be cool to do something like that. I wonder if he would put in a good word for me...
In my dream-dream job, I start my own animation company and start making some awesome 2-D animated movies. (the new Disney! :sweatdrop) |
I already have my dream job. I'm supposed to sit at a desk and sign people into a dorm. But because of my hours, all I do is sit and listen to music, surf the internets, watch tv, hw, play video games and hang out with my friends. The TV makes for a great spot to play smash bros on, and because my job is located in the dorm I live in, I literally am 20-30 seconds away from my room which means I can wake up 5 mins before my morning shift and still be on time.
The only minus? I won't have this job in 5 years. |
Well I've always wanted to be an academic and pretty much doing it. I'll eventually need to fight for a permenant position somewhere but I'm ok just shunting around various universities at the moment, researching what I wanted to.
Don't have much advice though as getting into my drema job was pretty straight forward. |
Another aspiring code monkey. (Hiiiii, bluestarultoooor! XD)
But seriously, finding the "right dream" is also important. I originally went for pharmacy and... honestly didn't do too well. :sweatdrop It's important to realize that everyone has different capabilities and that there will always be things that are easier or harder for them. I, for example, suck hardcore at physics and anatomy, which was really detrimental to my achieving a pharmacy degree. However, I'm a whiz at language and logic, so computer programming is pretty much perfect for me. I think like they do. And I'm having a blast, as evidenced by my million different projects. XD |
