Rascism, an outdated concept.
 

This has been bothering me for sometime, I see it everyday and it pisses me off extremely. That little word that scares everyone into submission, racism.

Now, what is racism? Webster's dictionary describes it as

"The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others."
"Discrimination or prejudice based on race."

It doesn't sound like a very threatning concept, and yet.. it's the most evil thing of today's society, why? Because liberal crackmuts made it so.

You see, the thing with racism is.. it's a copout. It's just another way for people to say "Oh pity me pity me! I'm black and am constantly discrimated against, boo hoo hoo!" They think that just because they are the "minority" (Which let's face it, if there's more then a hundred thousand of you in a single country, you aint no damn minority.) that they are entitled to bitch and moan. Now not all black people are like this, infact alot of black people are pretty nice, especially the girls, but some just piss me off with that crap. There also seems to be this forbiddan obsession witht the word nigger. Why is it when black people say it to one another it's positive, but when other races say it to them it's negative? It's either negative or positive, make up your damn mind. Besides, nigger has no power in today's world. We hold nothing back to the black community, there are nigro lawyers, doctors, policemen, everything. What sort of force does racism wield over America in the year 2003? NONE!

But this was not even the most upsetting part of the whole predicament. No, what upsetted me the most, was at this very forum, a mod got upset with me cause all referred to terrorist scum as sand rats, towel heads, and camel fuggers. Now, he was nice about it, and I appreciate it, but the liberals have brainwashed him into believing that this discramatory speech is just as evil as the jawas suicide bombing our continent! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!

You know, it shouldn't be considerd "discriminating" when you're at war with the fricking people! THAT is why no other country respects us! What kind of message are we sending if we're afraid to insult a land of murderers?!

And what if you are? Let's say you do a little soul searching and realise "Hey! I'm preajudice!" is it the end of the world? No. Ok, so you discriminate, but hey, as long as you're not in the KKK or denying people getting the good things they deserve in life, WHO THE HELL CARES?!

There are worst things in life then racism, even Ghandi admited to being preadjudice, and as sure as I'm standing here, there aint one of us who can compare to Ghandi in saintlyhood. Also I don't like how there's all this race and nationality protection, and yet in the end it's still funny to make fun of fat and disabled people. Why should I hold a black or Asian person to a higher standard then a retard or an overweight guy? Mentally handicap people have about as much control over what they are then colored people, and fat people just made a couple bad descisions. And yet drugatics get more respect ussually. That's a fucked up America right there.

And it all comes down to one little word.... why?

It means ingorant. That really holds no additional power against a black person than a white or whatever, back in the days of segregation, it did, for obvious reasons, but not today.
As for the towelhead thing, as long you were referring to just the terrorists, and not the entire race of one billion people its fine; otherwise, its wrong.

Uhm... prejudgice and racism are very different things. Prejudgice is judging something before you analyze it. Racism is subset of prejudgice.

The instance that you were claiming was when you were saying we should kill all the Iraqi civilians that don't like us. You're saying we should hate the Iraqi civilians? What the hell? The problem with those racist comments is that your confusing the Terrorists with the Victims.

Bullshit. There are white/black power groups, KKK, neo-nazis, Jewish, Christian, and Muslim fundamentalists everywhere. Racism is still very much around nowadays. If it weren't, then it wouldn't be an issue.

Racism is a very bad thing. You may think of it as outdated, but Racism does not have to go very far before it involves killing and impeding individual rights.

It's not an issue, racism nowadays is just a conspiracy to disarm white people and reproclaim them as the "white devils". They are becoming that which they are thought of to be. People hate whites, it's no big secret.

Racism, preadjudice, discrimination, all lies. It's an occurance, but one that can be ignored. Society makes a big deal about it because society is in some evil conspiracy, why they're trying to stall us with this crappy idea I'm not quite sure yet..

Why in the hell would Liberals, who are mostly white to begin with, have a conspiracy to derail whites themselves?

But seriously, Funny Looking is right, I agree with everything he said, but we dont need to be so damn touchy about it, as long as it doesnt get out of hand. When you have minorities that arent minorities getting into colleges for free, while I have to work my damn ass off for it, theres a problem.

I disagree. Racism occurs nowadays like it has occurred for the past 200 years. Not on the same scale, of course, but it's still there. Racists still don't want immigrants 'taking American jobs' and bull like that. Racists still don't want black people being paid to work for them. Racists still believe in white people's god-given right to kill 'lesser' people. It doesn't even need to be taken to an extreme to be sick and disgusting.

It can be ignored, that is correct. So can Matthew Shepherd being crucified, so can concentration camps, so can oppression, so can murder, so can conspiracies. They can all easily be ignored and commonly are. However, ignoring usually makes the problem a whole lot worse.

My view on racism is influenced by D&D. No, seriously. In that game, you have several races, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, but all essentially equally powered (at least in theory).

That's what real life is like. The constitution says all men are created equal, but that doesn't mean all men are equal in all regards. Some stereotypes tend to be true. That's not to say it's always true, just enough so that it can be said to be true of the whole race.

But despite our differences, we are all equal. We are all human. We all have an equal right to live any way we want.

Racism is when a person thinks their race is better than
another race, a fact which is never true. Racism does indeed still exist in America today. I know racist people who live in my hometown. And in the media, most racism is directed toward white people, who have no recourse against it.

Curbing racism should not be an attempt to make any race lose its identity, but to embrace our differences, and those things which make us all equal.

Well duh, but people are just too damn sensitive. You got to take the good stereotypes with the bad and just be willing to laugh at yourself.

Acttually I have a theory on how FF1 was based on nationality.

Blackmage=Mexico.
Both stink.
Both wear big hats.
Both like baggy clothes.
Both like women ALOT.
Both have an anger problem.

Blackbelt=Canada.
Both require low matinance.
Both are very common.
Both claim to be useful, but have yet to find a really good use for them. (Canada doesn't even have a military for Pete's sake!)

Fighter=America.
Both require a high economy to run smoothly.
Both are hated and also needed by all.

Thief=England.
Both are odd.
Both are liked in a strange mysterious sort of way.
Both are weak, but on some strange level useful.

Whitemage=Japan.
Because clearly Japan's going to give itself a good name. So they think they're like whitemages in the sense that without them the world will suck just as a batch of light warriors would. :rolleyes:

Redmage=Australlia.
Both are cool, but eventually pale in comparision to the other classes.
Both are essentially useless without a more extreme power to back them up.

That was meant to be humorous though. Comedy and politics are different realms. Comedy has no bounds. Serious Political discussions do. Offensive humor is great in Comedy but HORRIBLE in politics. So that's just an awful complication and crossed wires.

For instance, you can always talk about how Saddam makes sweet passionate man-love to his steed (just thinking about it makes me - uhh... nevermind), but it's not proper to called arab terrorists 'sand eaters' because that discriminates against ALL arabs.
