werewolves have "gifts". Basically they're small level shaman type powers. However a rank 1 werewolf only has access to level 1 gifts and they are.... lacking compared to other charecter types powers. Higher level gifts have powers you would actually want but because of the way the rank system works it is almost impossible that anyone will actually get to rank 2 in the course of this RP (unless FZ tweaks it).

thus for all intents and purposes werewolves are physical charecters. That being said there are a few level 1 gifts that can be fun if used correctly. However most of those are tribal gifts so you can only take them if you're of the right tribe.

also are we allowed to have multiple charecters of different classes? If that's ok I'll probably make a vampire as well...

EDIT: ok no multiple charecters. Didn't think that was ok. Are the different groups gonna be fighting each other? How is that going to work? Werewolves will always go after vampires but in general mages stay out of stuff like that.

EDIT: I was paying attention. That's why I asked.

No, you can't have many different class characters. Pay attention. He said that werewolves and vampires may get to make a second character of the same race.

sorry, my mistake *runs away*

No, if I even allow people to make multiple characters, it would only be for those that chose Vampires or Werewolves since those are both the two primary groups, and ironicaly the smallest groups.

And I most likely will have an accelerated Experience system. By the end of the RP, you won't be equal to Elders or the ultimate of your class, but I will give out expereince at certain points for certain actions that have been taken, so by then end you will all be fairly powerful.

And yes, Werewolves do have some Gifts they use, but 99% of their ability is focused around the fact that they are melee monsters, in the literal and general sense. Unless you have silver weaponry, and even if you do, it can be hard to take down a werewolf in Rage.

And as to the plot, I will reveal a fraction now, until I get this further along and reveal the whole thing in the Sign-Up (And yes there is one, I sent it to a few people to review recently). Basically, a very high level Earthbound has been unleashed in the city, and a massive conflict is brewing. The Werewolves and the Vampires will be the focus of this conflict, and the Mages and the Fallen are really just getting caught in the crossfire, but in the end the big bad guy that everyone will need to focus on is the Earthbound and his corruption and effects on the city.

Well, I made my way on over to the whitewolf website and tried to read up a little bit on Mages. There didn't seem to be much there though, although I did print out a basic Mage character sheet. I wasn't sure what the differences in the various types of Mages were, so I didn't print out the larger character sheets that have four pages.

Just decided to show a little initiative. However, as I don't know how to fill in or complete the character sheet, that's a little problem. And I don't have $40 to drop on the Mage core rulebook.

Our characters will be powerfully leveled and experienced after this adventure is completed? I'm sure you mean that is IF we complete the adventure and don't die trying. ;)

Thanks to my utter cheapness, I have completed a few RTFs about Mage Magick, Spheres, and Paradox.

Thanks to the vagaries of this damned forum, I cannot attach anything bigger than 40kb files... and the files I hacve are minimum 100kb each.

Forever Zero 04-14-2004 10:32 PM

True, there is the possibility of characters dying. It's all in the rolls of the dice... (Which I, as GM, will cover.)

Also, you don't need to drop any money. All the information needed will be provided in Txt documents and such once they are finished.

EDIT: Try dividing them into smaller files then. Half the magic spheres in one file, and half in the next, and so on. And you are really damn fast...

Not for nothing was I called the God-Emperor of Spam.

All hail the God-Emperor of Spam...

And I'm still working on a basic template. Was having some troubles based on interpretation issues for all the rulebooks, but I think I may have worked it out to a degree.
