We are all in town somewhere, little girl stole the Horn. krylo is about to kill half the town in a display of angsty vengence, Dante is trying to calm him down, and my guy left and is going to the Bounty Hunter's Guild to try and cut off the girl before she turns in the horn for the reward money.
|
So, we are in some sort of town? (It might be easier for my guy to have left the group before at the face worms and join with them later)
|
Darilk only plans on killing the girl in a show of angsty vengence. And anyone that gets between him and killing the girl... not half the town.
|
Should I just join in now saying my guy has just been stalking you, or meet up with the group now, or just join in later?

Celes has approved all of this spy stuff and such right?
|
I don't really know exactly what's going on with the spy stuff, honostly.Maybe somebody should PM me and specifically tell me what's going on, perhaps. ^^
(Sorry for not being around a ton. I spent the day riding bikes yesterday, I'm going to be at the relay for life for awhile today, and then tomorrow I have to go to the airport to see my parents off as they go on their week-long cruise. (without ME? Geez.) Also: so who is searching where for the theif? |
Here is what I know is going on.
rightwhatwasidoing's guy is walking around looking for thief. Ecrut's guy is somewhere (Near Vult I think), everyone else is heading towards bounty office. Vult is somewhere. My guy is... I don't know. And as for the spy thing, that is something Zw is making up (Apparently we're being followed...) |
Yeah, sounds like a typical newbie mistake. I tried that in one of my early RPs and it just didn't work out well... (Janus and his quest to defeat the Demon in an old TWC RP)
But krylo's guy is wandering the streets looking for the Thief, and Dante's guy is trying to keep him in check. My guy is going to the Bounty Hunter's Office to wait for the theif there, and other then that I don't really know what the others are doing... |
I'm trying to figure out what my character should be doing...

You guys can have your characters run into them at the bounty office.
|
Ah yes, the good 'ol "Meet up with everyone at random place, then make up a completely random reason as to why to tag along".

Any story related way he could be thrown into the story (As in something up ahead he could already be at)? If not, I'll just have him stalk the group.
|
He could already be in Fayon, since that is (hopefully, if everything goes according to plan) their next stop (next event stop), or you could be at the inn they will probably stay at in Alberta.
EDIT Randomness: wOOt, I just got the 6th Ragnarok manga. ^^ Yay. |
I have a few questions...
1.) Is it possible to join this Ragnarok if I were to read all of Chapter 1 up to current times 2? Note: I'm not a real newbie to RPing. If you need some reference I'll be glad to give you links to some of my previous PBP-Forum memberships. 2.) What time period does this RP take place? Or shall I say what theme? (IE Medievil, Modern, Fantasy, Furturistic, or combanation of multiple examples?) I'm intrigued with this story already...But I haven't placed my mouse even on page one. |
1) I'm going to guess yes because Celes is a push over.
Note: First person is annoying. 2) Medival. |
Both are fine. I'll gladly do my RP in the form of 3rd person. Only some of my intros are first person and that is it...

And before making a character, you might want to read through it and see if you are still as intrigued by it after you've read what we have so far. I just don't want anyone to be making commitments and then going, "Oh... this RP is weird.... I don't want to be in it anymore." EDIT: Oh yeah, and 1st person writing in the RPs is usually not a good thing. |

And there is a sign up too. You need a character bio first. |

It has to be two or more vets argueing in the RP to be a Celes issue. |
Oh, I see. Well, then. Shall we start arguing for no apparent reason just to test Celes?
|
Dante's magically transporting himself again for some reason.
|
I thought I was with them? Ah well. Watch the post disappear...

Never mind, I used the magic power of editing.

Alittle late for that, but I guess it'll work out.
|
Hm... Either be at the bounty office and help the group get the horn, or be at the inn's bar and scare people with random acts of insanity..
And Zw, you still have to explain the whole spy thing. |
Before anyone says anything, this is my guy pulling an insanely desperate bluff.
That, and he's gonna' pull some trickery if the clerk buys it. And all shall be explained. |
If the clerk falls for that, then he is stupid. Apparently, the guy who just turned a random object into a fake horn wants to take the real horn and turn it into something else to prove that is it also fake when he just turned something into something else.
|
If he proves the horn is fake, we can't get a bounty for it, anyway. It's a shitty plan.
Celes can just make the girl scared of a guy who's actually going to, you know, dismember her... and decide to drop the horn and run... and Iris can stop Darilk, seeming as Darilk is honor-bound not to kill her. |
And meanwhile, I ahve to at least try to maintain the damn status quo...
|
...And right now Darilk is trying to decide if protecting Iris includes protecting her from lecherous Alchemists...

...And Chaos is going to wash his hands of this so he can start reading the Ragnarok manga that he just bought...
|
I need to hit the local Suncoast and pick myself up some of those. I'm familiar with the world, and played Ragnarok Online for a while until my computer decided to declare war on the client.
Edit: Didn't read the new post. That's gonna be one bizarre book to read... |
*Cough* I'm further behind then I expected. Anyone want to give a quick update on what happened, or did nothing vital happen and I can just jump back in?
|
Lidia turns in bounty.
Chaos intervenes. Lidia argues, Dart interjects. Kal bluffs. Darlik enters and get mad. Lidia folds. Chaos collects cash and leaves with Lidia. |
Sangs was also kind enough to clear out the inn for us. Vult's praying that the lunatic doesn't notice him.
|
Why would it matter if he saw him?
|
Check. I'll jump in with my half-aware fighter intellect and not pay attention to half of what just happened...
|
IHMN: Would YOU want some crazy guy who talks to himself... and who shoved you into a face worm after having a brief conversation earlier, to notice you?
I think Vurt is just scared Sang will strike up a conversation. |
Would you want to be the only one left in a bar with a raving lunatic? Knowing you, you might. But not me.
Edit: I will KILL this dialup. |
I never said everyone left, I said most of the people in a 20-foot radius moved to somewhere else (Maybe outside of the inn)
|
SS...
Darilk: trained dark knight Your character: Cowardly alchemist. ...Let's not start any fights by calling him an ass and then changing his armor into shit? |
It'll turn back.
And Krylo, if he has no emotions, then he won't have anger. Which means he'll do absolutely nothing about it. |
He has emotions. He just keeps them buried due to the nature of his power, and the fact that they're all dark. If he had no emotions he couldn't use his power (you'll notice he explained it as channelling his hate through his sword), but if he allowed his emotions to show constantly, he'd be a walking ball of death. As in dark waves would be shooting off of him constantly... and then he'd die because he'd expend all of his energy like that.
Besides: He still has a sense of honor and shame, AND he already doesn't like your guy because of how he cowered before the baby face worms, summoning rocks and what have you... and asking people to keep them from attacking him. In other words, your guy is a coward. Cowards have no honor in Darilk's eyes. Your character has no honor in Darilk's eyes. |
Yes. but lets not go turning people's armor into fluffy cotton. You never know when Darilk will decide if he's unfeeling or not and dismember you... and I'd like to stear from anger towards each other in the RP ^^;;
|
Just for the record, Sangsue is only a coward against gaint monsters (Or slimey ones, disgusting ones, sticky ones, etc). He doesn't want to go touch those so he can then kill them.
|
Hey, Krylo....Two Questions...
Did he ever acknowledge that he asked them to protect him so he could focus on making weapons that wouldn't dissapear? And does his sense of honor and stuff mean that the only way he thinks a situation can be solved is to run in, full in sight, sword swinging, and being amazingly....I don't know...classic? This is just so I know, so Kal's reactions will be different. |
My ruling: You guys can argue (a bit), but no more tampering with each other's equiptment. That is the kind of stuff that will lead to things that happened in Perdition's Tale.
|
Once my guy joins, any tampering SS does could easily be fixed by my guy. Though now that it's been banned I guess it doesn't matter.
|
Aw, but I just do it to mess with his mind. And it's not permanent.
Pweeeease, can I? |
Don't be an arse, SS.

He doesn't usually get violent... as is evidenced by the fact he didn't kick Chaos in the groin or stab you for calling him "Goth boy" and "an ass" respectively. He's just very draconian. If you steal, you are punished. If you kill without reason, you are punished. If you hurt someone without reason, you are punished. If you obstruct 'justice' you are punished. And, of course, his primary punishment is death or dismemberment... comes with being draconian. He also won't go out of his way to protect anyone that he's not suppose to be protecting. That just comes with having all his emotions buried, and being angsty if they weren't anyway. |
Celes, I think that the pub is in the inn. Inns usually need a place to serve food, and drinks, to weary travellers, and since restaurants haven't been invented, the easiest way to keep potentially unruly travellers well fed would be to integrate the two.
|
Krylo, I meant...
Okay, situation to do this. Giant castle. We know that there's going to be tons of guards in the front entrance. The smart way to do things would be to sneak around the outside walls. Does his sense of honor mean he would refuse to do that, or view it as cowardly, and he'd walk straight into the teeth of the huge legions of guards because it was honorable? Or would he acknowledge that sneaking in would be much smarter, even though it was avoidance? |

I.E. Right now he's making sure Iris doesn't get killed for her father, so all someone would have to do is point out that going in the front way would probably get her killed. |
New discussion up!
