Too bad about Cleric, I was hoping Ranger would stay dead, never really liked him. Black Mage could of course just stab Cleric, they aren't exactly known for their amount of HP.

Oh damn, I guess that means Cleric needs to die. He does kind of break the killing process the same way White Mage would. Too bad.

Hmm... Yeah, your probably right. The only reason, why White Mage was always able to heal anyone, BM hurted, without getting turned into fish-sticks herself , is because Black Mage has a crush on her.

And since that's not the case here, it could really be, that Cleric's life-span just shortened by a loooots of years....
