Top Ten Best Movies
Here they are, my picks (in no particulat order) of the top ten movies I've ever seen! (if you don't like them then meet me by the jungle gym after class...where I'll ask you politly to discuss the matter...) Unfortunatly since its a top ten, alas, I could put but ten. What do you guys think? Any additions?
1.BraveHeart 2.Boondock Saints 3.Tombstone 4.Sleepy Hollow 5.Any of the Kevin Smith Movies (Chasing Amy,Clerks, Mall Rats ect) 6.Army of Darkness 7.LotR:Fellowship of the Rings 8.Donnie Darko 9.Seven 10.And Dare I say....The Count of Monte Cristo? |
My top ten:
1. Fireworks 2. Army of Darkness 3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail 4. Memento 5. Snatch 6. Shaolin Soccer (The unedited version) 7. Brother 8. Seven Samurai 9. The Matrix 10. Half-Baked |
Anything with Steve Buscemi is good in my book.
Well mostly everything (I'm not counting his cameos in Adam Sandler movies) |
In order
1.UHF 2.Caddyshack 3.Ferocous Creatures 4.I Forgot the title but it was good. 5.Braveheart 6.Rocketeer 7.Indiana Jones 8.Ghostbusters 9.Pirates of the Caribbean 10.LotR I prolly for some but this is all i could think of right away. |
Buscemi rocks indeed.
So, I have to narrow it down to only ten, eh? *sigh* Okay, here goes... no particular order... 1. South Park: Bigger, longer and uncut 2. Memento 3. Mulholland Drive 4. Dogma 5. A Clockwork Orange 6. Fight Club 7. 12 Monkeys 8. Ghost Dog 9. Pulp Fiction 10. Fargo Some of these are kinda representative for the directors. As a rule, anything David Lynch, Jim Jarmusch, the Coen Brothers and Quentin Tarantino have ever done, I like to the point of setting up an altar. Also, I'd like to claim that the above list still includes only ten movies if I add Trainspotting and Terminator II. *pulls out a baseball bat* Objections? Derek: Boondock Saints is a good movie, though I don't quite agree with the message I suppose it carries. I've heard only the best of Donnie Darko... and dammit, I still haven't watched Seven. Gotta look into these two. Sakae: Snatch = sweeeet. Monty Python too. |
I've never seen Memento or Snatch. Could I get a quick idea of what they're like? *thinks he may rent them tonight* Yeah, Seven and Darko both have unique endings.

Very good movie. It unfolds backwards, which makes for quite a mindfuck. Watch it in a single sitting, and when you're alert enough to follow the plot. (It can get confusing at parts.) Snatch Another great movie. It's a few different stories, starting apart, and then coming together to present a very cool plot with some awesome twists at the end. The dialogue's hilarious, although everyone has a fairly heavy accent so it might be difficult to make out what they're saying. |
btw, matrix 2 & 3 sucked. Wouldnt be on my top 10
1. Boondock Saints 2. Matrix 3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail 4. Pulp Fiction 5. Monty Python: The Meaning of Life 6. Rocky Horror Picture Show 7. Neverwhere 8. LotR: TTT 9. Ninja Turtles (first one) 10. Shawshank Redemption or The Green Mile |
