A World Not Worth Saving (New DS Game, With Serious Golden Sun Vibes)

World Destruction

Just saw this in a Nintendo Power magazine, and I have to say, I'm getting some serious Golden Sun vibes. After humanity is enslaved, a girl decides that oblivion would be better than the life that man lives now, so she decides to end the world.

...So.... yeah. Does anyone know a bit more about this?

I know that it's being composed by Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Xenosaga) and it's being written by Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Baten Kaitos). There's also an anime of it apparently, but I somehow get the feeling that it doesn't live up to the game, even though I have no hands-on experience with either of them.

"The world ends with you" and "A world not worth saving"

wow.. that's... that's some gritty nature for 2 nintendo Products coming to the nintendo family right there

The World Ends With You was by Square Enix. This is by Sega (and the name is A World of Destruction).

This is the first I've heard of this game, but the staff alone is enough to convince me of it. I'll track it.

I think what he means, despite Nintendo's sunny disposition, there has been some dark sounding games released as of late.

Seeing as who is on staff, I am gonna keep my eye on it.

I'm still waiting on Sadness. I haven't heard anything. Like... at all. (I know that was what their marketing strategy was, but there's... nothing - like... at all.)

Because Sin and Punishment brings thoughts of happy bunnies dancing and prancing around the rainbow.

I'm gonna tell you something and I hope this doesn't shock you: Sadness doesn't exist.

It never did.

.

Hell yeah. I can totally imagine Sin and Punishment as a happy go lucky title.

I was actually looking forward to Sadness.

Oh bother.

Lord Setheris 11-16-2008 11:52 PM

Look. It's a Sega game.

It will probably involve getting together your WACKY friends so you can track down some magic rings that will give you the power to summon a giant teddy bear to destroy mankind.
At best.

Still, I'll track it.
