Every time I start thinking that everything was better when I was a kid, I think no wait, Nerf guns are like a million times fucking better than they were when I was a kid.

I mean, a chainfed nerf gun. My Jesus, that's just the world.

Hands On Enough Nerf Weaponry To Storm The Pentagon

I'm going to need one of you guys to smuggle me some of that stuff. That stuff is totally awesome and I could probably take out our entire police force with one fo those chainfed things.

I have my favorite small gun on a shelf above my bed. The rest, including my ballzooka and this old "spy" one with a trip line trigger that fires like it has been modded, are in a box inside a storage shed an hour away.

I occasionally consider modding the pistol.

My favorite ever was my Chainblazer. Everything about it was awesome, except that the chain eventually broke from over use. At a certain point, the duct tape just stopped being enough and it had to be retired. This guy fails to mention that it was fired by moving the handle back and forth, and it fired from both the pull and push. It fired very, very rapidly.

I guess that I'm saying rate of fire is very important to me in a Nerf gun. My Chainblazer, Ballzooka, and that pistol are all very fast. But the Ballzooka's way too big to keep in my apartment, so it's just the pistol for me.

Geeze, what a ramble.

It occurs to me that I could introduce some form of low power railgun like acceleration system in a Nerf gun. Ya know take advantage of the eddy currents in small aluminum rods buried deep in the padding to provide propulsive force. Just enough to match the speed and range of current models but with a much faster rate of fire. Maybe replicate that metal storm thing where its just a bunch of Nerf bullets packed into a tube and you set them all off at basically the same time. This of course results in a firing rate of a few million rounds a second. It would be the ultimate Nerf weapon.

Heck while I'm at it I should throw in heat sensors, gyrostabilizers, and fins to aid in flight course correction. That's right heat seeking Nerf darts. In all honesty though as soon as I have my own place, probably while in grad school, I'm so stocking up on Nerf guns. Among other various things of different levels of hazard.
