Sure is great writing essays and waiting for my application to be approved. I don't know how people deal with the wait T_T . I applied online at Western Governors University, trying to go for a bachelor's in Information Technology, and just slightly nervous that I don't have any previous IT experience (Though the site says that there are others like me, so I'm not alone I guess ^^; ).

Anyone else starting college here online or in the classroom?

(Bored Victus is bored and at work, hence why he starts education >.> , along with having the GI Bill and supervisors pressing him to start)

The only requirement to get in mine is a pulse. I have one! I did shitty in high school, but I'm getting a $500 scholarship. I'm looking forward to school.

I'm getting tons of scholarship and college junk because of my test scores...And I'm only a junior. Hehe, I can't wait for college. ^_^

Going to an art school. After that, I dunno. Might further my edumacation more.

I'll be going in the Fall myself. Majoring in Astronomy, as some of you already have read...

Man, I had to take three assessments (One of which was a 200 word min. essay (I did 343 >.> )) and have a $65 application fee. Oh well, it's free as long as I pass >.>

Hell. Yes. And saving up a buttload from a year-long deployment with tax-free pay. :D

Mmmmhmmm...I'm getting nearly 1300 a check (Twice a month). Not bad for an E-3 :P

I'm a bit too lazy to find scholarships or grants, and just a bit too average to get one through testing (in my defense, fuck a 5 hour test that starts at 8 AM), so I'm paying for it myself. It's not an expensive college, but it's going to give me the stuff I need to get my foot in the door and I've got the money to pay for it, so why not? I've made up for my lack of work with setting up tons of connections, so when I leave I won't need a big name degree to find work. But still, I'm disappointed now that I didn't work harder for something like MIT or whatever.

Oh yeah, requirements. Heh. Telling someone around here that you got accepted to Columbus State is like telling someone that you put clothes on today (warning: do not attempt either of the proceeding statements while nude).

My University is not prestigious in the least. My big gripe is that I almost, almost got a free ride. The condition was that I become a National Merit Finalist. I got to Semi-Finalist before they took a peek at my GPA... So, now I get zip squat.

Damn.

I'm looking at departmental scholarships here, and thinking I might be able to scrounge together tuition with that instead of delving into my tiny trust fund, but I'm fairly certain the Philosophy department here is as strapped for cash as I am, and the English department certainly won't think much of a hotshot freshman over the juniors and seniors applying.

That's like the complete opposite of the uni I'm trying to get into :P
