Actually, he'll be the only "normal" sword dual-wielding guy. As in, two swords and just that. Bartz doesn't exactly count because he's just trying to mime more people at the same time.

Normal as far as crazy spiky swords go, though.

I'm actually more preoccupied about his EX-Mode. His armour never changed in FFXII, and it's not like he has another stock of swords to begin with. Will they just repaint his armour, like with Garland?

I'm guessing his alternate will be him without the helmet or the attire shown during the credits (the drawing where he is with Basch).

I just noticed something -during the CG sequence it seemed to me like Kefka was attacking the Emperor. Am I looking at it wrong? Ah, Bartz was the one attacking Kefka. Terra activated Mateus' trap, that's all.

【Concept】

"Magic and Sword/Magic Fencer"
He moves along the ground and through the air, boasting the fastest speed of all the warriors of Cosmos. In the air, he can jump up to 5 times in sequence.

He is the youngest member amid the warriors of Cosmos, but still possesses a clear head and sharp wit. He declares that, "I cannot fight with opponent who cannot win," which cuts to the quick regarding both his pride in wisdom and the lightness of his childlike footwork. But there is also a very shrewd side of his personality as well. As with the many adults in this story, he will be shown to mature over the course of things. To this end, during the game something shocking will happen to him.

【EX Info】

EX-Mode: Either Ninja or Sage. Both of these are based on the NES version of the jobs. In
EX-Mode while using physical attacks he will be a Ninja, and then while using magic attacks he will be a Sage, changing jobs automatically.

EX-Mode Bonus: Dual-Wield (Sword attack power up), Magic Abilities up (Magical attack power up)

EX-Burst (Ninja): "Ninjutsu" After a wave of thrown knives, he attacks at his opponent from behind with both swords crossed. Within the time limit, select "Throw" and then "Shuriken" as to raise the attack power. If you fail, he will stop after simply throwing the knives.

【Concept】

"Surge Cannon Master/HP Breaker"
Another one of the characters who gave the staff problems. Her Brave attacks change depending upon timing. Each tentacle has three variation on its Brave attacks, with the differences between them relying on how the button presses are timed. She also has a variety of surge cannons at her disposal, giving her the most HP attacks of any character. Her emphasis on strategy is summed up as, "You cannot attack recklessly with her, since the key to using her is properly controlling her surge cannons."

【Position and Personality】

A member of the faction within the troops of Chaos who wishes to "Destroy the world." A being who appears when the balance between light and dark is undone, The Cloud of Darkness takes the form of a beautiful woman, but her true self - including her gender - is wrapped in mystery. Her status as an inhuman creature seems to be emphasized by her use of the pronoun "Washi"* Overflowing with dignity, she is almost always shown as being perfectly composed. Though this almost suspiciously sexy character does have an erotic victory pose.

*Washi is stereotypical of old men in Japanese, and tends to be used mostly by fictional characters to point out their age. In this case, it may be referring to the fact that The Cloud of Darkness is several millennia old.

【EX Info】

EX-Mode: She appears closer to her last boss form, with her skin colored green.

EX-Mode Bonus: Cancel Cannon. (After her opponent's attacks, she cancel them out the Square button. Since that makes the canceling connected to the rest of her HP attacks, you have to properly account for the time between attacks, but if done right she can flow between Brave and HP attacks seamlessly.)

EX-Burst: "Super Wave Cannon" She fires her surge canon directly below her opponent, she then charges her left hand with magic before releasing the surge canon in a concentrated blast. You press the O button to fill the gauge while she charges her magic, which raises the power by 120% when done perfectly. When not done right her canon blast is thinned out and reduced in strength.

Huh. Mes and I actually called that pretty close a while back, except in our version Zidane merely made a crack about Garland knocking them all down before everyone does, in fact, get knocked on their asses.

I guess a similar joke was unavoidable.
