What I didn't like about Little Lamplight was that I was an epic warrior-engineer, decked out in the finest suit of pristine Enclave Power-Armor and carrying a laser rifle better maintained than perhaps what existed before the war. My mein is as terrifying as Vader's and my voice likely as menacing. I have slain the most powerful foes in the wasteland by the squad.

Yet, this kid, with a hunting rifle, insults me from behind his plywood fence, threatening to kill me if I don't go away. I smoothly draw my rifle, and am stunned to find that I cannot even equip it.

[/nitpicking]

ne/e is in the direction of DC, after all, and Arefu is further west than the vault. (The scrapyard is essentially directly north of the vault.)

Arefu is north north west, Scrapyard is north north east. DC is due east.

This is non-negotiable.

Here's a flash-map of the Capitol Wasteland. Yes, it's filled with spoilers, but it's good for getting bearings.

This is why I say specific locations over directions. In retrospect, it would have been cooler for peeps to only suggest directions. I haven't heard of half of the locations mentioned.

I'm still of the opinion that we should seek help from the Azure Dragon of the East, but I'm beginning to suspect the four gods aren't even IN this game.

So after being a complete Oblivion nut for the longest time I finally give Fallout a chance.

Wow, I'm addicted again.

This is actually why I asked for directions, because I haven't played in months and don't really remember where everything is all that well.

Just checked on my finished game and yeah, Arefu is almost directly north, just a little west, while Scrapyard is North by Northeast.

Also: Little Lamplight isn't so bad if you're two things. A) Not a complete monster who just wants to murder children the second they say something nasty, and B) Good at talking. I convinced them to let me in within a few seconds, and after that everyone was nice to me. MacCreedy spent a lot of time cussing and shit, but not about me. That said, it'd still be great to murder them all. Or at least have that option.

Alright, I'm officially voting that we shoot Fawkes in the face when we meet him. Repeatedly. And then we defile his corpse. Anyone who has asked him to go into the radiation-soaked room at the end will understand. Come on, man, it's like a two second job, and you're in absolutely no danger from it. What the hell?

Fawkes' awesome was definitely shattered by that scene. But I digress.

I am positive this is one of the more intense dialog mods they will make. If they don't, I will make it myself and I don't even program.

The first time I played through I kept wondering whether Fawkes would agree if you had 10 Charisma or a perfect speech value, which I didn't in my first playthrough.

It's too bad Bethesda didn't think of that possibility.

RTET

Someone's already made the mod.
