I have to have it!

Have you ever had something that you see it and you just have to have it, no questions asked. You know you really shouldn't, you should save your money, but then you go and get it anyway because you HAVE to? I encountered mine this morning, and my willpower lasted till I realized I didn't have to pay my insurance till after my next paycheck, so I could totally pull it off. My one true weakness was an Itoshiki Nozomu cosplay outfit.

What's yours?

Probably any given Bioware game. But my spending willpower is phenonmenal. Even then, I could probably hold off for a few weeks. So I guess nothing?

Hm... That's a tough one.

I think the last situation I encountered like that was with... Spore, actually.

Ironically enough, I don't even play it much anymore. That will probably change when the expansions come out.

The three DVDs for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann made me suffer many days of ramen this previous semester.

My ps2. I even had to borrow the money to buy it. Other than that the only thing I can think of would be the entirety of the Stargate dvds. But I can buy whatever I want whenever I want these days, due to my exceedingly rich status, which I only have because I can save like crazy.

X-Files Complete Box set. Fortunately, there was Christmas, as there is no way I can save up that much money.

My spending willpower is crazy. I'm really not materialistic. I DO tend to get my favorite foods when shopping, though. I can't shop if I'm not hungry because nothing looks good, so when I do shop, even for just a gallon of milk, I usually come back with any of limeade, Triscuits and hummus, chips and sour cream (I make my own dip and it's wonderful :p), and/or coffee creamer.

I just today relocated my Transformers collection to the top of my desk, so finding an answer to this question didn't take very long. I also tend to indiscriminately pick up food items related to thai curry. Yesterday I bought four limes and used one. Now I have to find a purpose for three limes.

Use them in booze. Any clear liquor off the top of my head is good with lime. Some darker liquor is good too but vodkas/gins and etc. are quite good with lime.

Also, WHOLE limes? If so, you could try an experiment for me- cut one into wedges, get a glass of clear liquor, graps the meaty bit and pull it off the peel, then put the peel in the drink and stir. Let me know how it tastes.

Many years ago, maybe. But given that I'm a total cheapskate who hardly likes anything, this doesn't happen to me that much.

I did finally give in yesterday and buy Bioshock since Steam had knocked the price all the way down to $5. But that's more the reverse effect, since I didn't buy it when it came out for ten times the price.
