Except that you do get the xp, or at least you do from Dogmeat.

you get exp if you inflicted the most damage on the enemy, whether or not they actually make the kill has no baring. This isn't just partners, if two NPCs, lets say a wastelander and a raider, are fighting and the raider is near dead so you finish him off. You still get no exp

there is an exploit. If you fire charon, hire a new follower, and re-hire charon before the new person talks to you, you can have them both. I did it just last night and it works. Dogmeat is ALWAYS add-able, apparently he never counts towards your limit

quick question - is there a peaceful solution to the crazy guy with the megaphone outside the ranger's hq? i mean, besides the peace of a bullet.

I just bought this game, and I've gotta say, I'm loving every minute of it.

It's so fun to wander around the wasteland, meet new and interesting people, then kill them and take their stuff.

Nope...well, you could just leave him and his hostage alone and enjoy his rantings every time you pass through that area.

I found a bizarre glitch. I was running around the city's ruins and I find a place near Georgetown West with two super mutant brutes on the ground and another one on a terrace thingy on the second store of a building. That one had a missile launcher. I shot it once with an assault rifle and it stopped moving. I mean, it was waving his arms or something, but it didn't move from where he was. I got closer after killing the two on ground level and shot it to death...Which caused it and its missile launcher to be hurled into the air, half a block away. It was weird as hell. When I got to the corpse, I found out why it didn't shoot me earlier: The missile launcher had 0 CND...So it means my first shot hit it, which amazes and amuses me.

Crap ending is crap.

TDK 01-10-2009 01:49 PM

There's an addon called "Broken Steel" that will remove the ending so you can keep playing after finishing the main quest, and raise the level cap and add new perks.

Eltargrim 01-10-2009 02:02 PM

Thank god.

Ok, we've already been over Fawkes being a douche at the end. But then we get there. I'm wearing T51b armour, I have the rad-resistant perk, I popped Rad-X, and I have 40 Rad-Away that remove 150 rads each. I'm getting 1 rad/s. I could literally have stayed in there for 16 minutes, without taking any Rad-Away. With the Rad-Away, I could have survived for 91 minutes. A full hour and a half. I am proof against radiation. And yet, as soon as I input the code, I die? Bullshit.
