I think they intended for the game ending to be the ending, and if they say something to the contrary its just to cover up their shame. Though I also think they planned on making expansions from day one. A level cap is often evidence of this. I mean what game caps at level 20? Even MMOs start with caps higher then that.

O'rly?

I'd say it was obvious because it's, you know, Bethesda.

The original Fallout capped at level 21.

You could possibly call that 'consistancy'.

You know what I really fucking hate? Deathclaws.

One of them spawned in behind me after I entered Luckys shop down by Tenpenny Tower. It was actually in the shop with me. Needless to say I promptly shit myself, then plasma'd it in the face in blind panic until it dissolved away.

Fucking hate Deathclaws.

I'm also really annoyed that I can't get the energy weapons bobblehead because I can't get into Raven Rock just yet. It's the only one I need and the one I really want. Damn you Bethesda.

Or even consistency.

@ Hawk: Yeah, I freaked a bit when I met my first deathclaw up in...old olney, I think. The abandoned town filled with them. Damn things are tough.

Well this wasn't my first DC, but it was the first to spawn in such a tiny space right behind me. Took off half my health before I could even spin around and see what the hell was attacking. The A3 takes care of them easily enough I find, and I've got the dartgun now as well, so that should make things easier (ironically, it was the search for parts for the dartgun that took me to Luckys in the first place. Guess they knew what I was up to).

I hate the control unit the Enclave enslaved Deathclaws have. It's so stupid and pointless. I have tried so hard to destroy the control unit to get the Deathclaw to attack the Enclave, but because you can only attack it from the side, more often than not I just blow its head off.

And even when I do blow it up, I've spent ten VATS shots trying to hit it and so he's already pissed at me anyway so he just keeps doing his normal thing.

Except that in Fallout 2 there was no cap at all, so there's no consistency regardless.

Fallout 3 patch came out today, and Kotaku says the first DLC will be available Jan 27.

Edit: Fixed broken link

Hahaha No it won't. Expect a two week delay. But that's not from any particular source.
