You know what I really fucking love? Deathclaws.
... Or more accurately, killing them all. I've now got the killing of DCs down to perfection; the things can't even get within 10 feet of me before exploding into gibs and goo. And it's all thanks to the most inconspicious and awesome weapon in the game; the dartgun. I love the dartgun. I even went to Old Oldney just so I could kill them all with it.... and then accidentally fell into the sewers, but then I got to kill more DCs so it's all good! |
I just use my plasma rifle. Shoot out one or both of the legs, and then they suddenly become slow-moving targets.

Incidently dont trust the VATS estimate on accuracy with it. Even at only 20% I was consistantly hitting my targets |
I wanted to ask something about Fallout 3 to see if anyone else got this...
I did the Tenpenny Tower quest. But I used my speech skills to convince certain members of the Tenpenny residents to leave to allow the Ghouls to live there. I went back a while later and suddenly... no humans there anymore. The guards were gone and it's all Ghouls. And then I was listening to a GNR broadcast and Three Dog was talking about how the Ghouls killed everyone. And then mentioned that I look ridiculous in my Ghoul Mask(but that's besides the point). Did this happen to anyone else? |

That bastard... I think I might have to head back to Tenpenny tower and slip a mine into Roy's back pocket!

Still what you said happened doesn't seem to sync. You get the ghoul mask for helping them take the tower. Three Dog shouldn't be commenting on it. |
You also get it if you talk the bigot residents into leaving the Tower and the rest of the people say they'd not mind the Ghouls staying. Which is the way you get the best good karma results. Roy ends up killing Tenpenny almost immediately. Tells you he had an unfortunate accident. I had killed Tenpenny before that anyway by sticking a mine in his pocket. Because I wanted his sniper rifle.
Anyway, since you do things the good way, Three Dog will talk about it on the radio. I just didn't realize the Ghouls would kill everyone. Even the guy who likes Ghouls and had that friend. I also found out that if you kill the Overseeer in 101(like I did) you apparently can't get back into vault 101 later on in the game when you need to. Sooo.... I think I'm screwed and need to start over. Which sucks balls. |

... Fuck! Damnit this is why I need a guide that's not on the internet so I can fully see how my actions will affect things later on. I'm currently in the prcoess of trying to maximize profit and gains on damn near everything by scouring the net for info, but I've messed up a lot. Lost out on bonus skill points, loot, caps, weapons, unique apparel and now even whole quests. If I ever start over though I should be able to do everything right and get everything I want, but I doubt I ever will. |
My guide says you can still get in Vault 101 later on. Amata sends out a distress signal, and if you've killed the Overseer then someone replaces him but they have the same views on life outside the vault as the Overseer.
Anyway, I think the only thing you really get from that is the option to get Butch as a follower, so you wouldn't be missing too much. Edit: Also a schematic for the Rock-it Launcher. |
