Eversion

Found this little game on the VGCats front page.

This game will eventually freak you the fuck out.

Do not be fooled by appearances.

Yeah, I've been playing it all day. I'm up to the last level, but a break is necessary. It's a neat idea with a well done visual and musical presentation, but it's not really fun, as the implementation of the controls is so sloppy that you have inaccurate jumps and overly large hitboxes working against you more than the enemies and level design themselves. It's an old tried and true game development philosophy that I like to call "replacing challenge with shittiness."

However, I'm still curious to see the real ending, so I'll keep at it.

EDIT: Real ending is adorable.

Flying hands hit me when they shouldn't. Goddammit.

EDIT: The game told me to give up. What the hell.

I can't get past World 3. What the hell am I supposed to do?

The X key changes everything in certain spots where the background changes color and the music changes.

It's reallllllly subtle, it's easy to miss.

Oddly enough, the 100% ending confirmed what I thought for awhile.

I think if he already got to World 3, he's well aware of how the Everse key works, but he's not finding that one special eversion spot that will get him to where he needs to go. Happened to me all the time and I ended up needing to find a walkthrough just to finish.

Where are you stuck exactly, Mirai?

If it's right at the beginning, then you have to everse in every little nook and cranny of that first big structure as you go.

I find it funny how Dante can't escape his old name...

POS Industries 01-02-2009 08:46 PM

Well, it was better.

In particular it was easier to associate with an individual person due to being a unique identifier not associated with an existing popular videogame character as well as at least a couple previous posters on this board.
