Nah, thanks for the help. I'm swimming through the info, but school is getting crazy these last few weeks, putting off anything else I try to put concentrated effort into. Also, I am sort of overloading on WoD info, so I am partially taking a break right now to both do my school work, and get back into the spirit for this RP. I'll make a Demon at some point as an example of what they should look like with all info filled in, and hopefully that will help, so anyone with all the info for their chosen Supernatural of choice that can turn in a full, complete bio might be able to help the others that are new to WoD in that way. |
I can turn in a full, complete bio for my chosen Supernatural of choice (heh. Redundant)!
I should actually get started on that ... |
I'm still here and ready to go whenever this gets put together. AIM: EmperorSnefix if anyone wants to hit me up about the game or whatever.

Okay, a thousand apologies if my lazy, thread-skimmin' self just missed this part, but what is this game's focus going to be? Intensive combat? Episode-like missions?Exploring the moral gray area between good and evil? A bunch of wacky supes, plus one ordinary teenager, all attending the same high school? (Yes...a night high school...)
could be pretty relevant...mages aren't exactly the most battle-ready folks, by and large... Unless you wanted Technocracy characters. Heh, heh, that would be an experience... |
I'll give a basic rundown of the plot now. Note, this is the quicky version I made about a week ago, so I don't remember it exactly and things might change by the end, but this is the basic idea I'm going for.
A Mage (NPC) was doing some work he/she shouldn't have, and was attempting to summon a Demon as part of an experiment. The summoning worked, in spades, but the Mage wasn't ready for the power of the Earthbound (Super strong demon basically) the mage unleashed. NPC Mage battled with the Earthbound, but even in its weakend state the Earthbound was able to counter the Mage and fight back. The battle ended when the mage abused his/her powers too much and snapped and entered a Quiet (Mage insanity, very bad). The mage, now half-crazy, stumbled off into the night, while the Earthbound fled in search of a suitable host to hold it's power. A city block was demolished in the battle, and authorities blamed it on a freak fire... One month later, for the vampire side, a Nosferatu Elder Demonoligist has been noticing some disturbing trends lately in the city, along with signs of an odd cult forming. It is quickly growing into both Normal and Supernatural circles, and a few vampires have been lured away by it. He suspects grave danger, and wishes to contact the Vampire Counsel that is luckely coming together this month, to warn them of this threat and to try and get support to fight it, since a powerful Earthbound is a grave danger to any. However, he fears that the cult may have learned something in his investigations, so he is taking some guards and allies (PCs) from local vampire Clans to protect him as he makes his way to the meeting. Werewolves: There has been an uneasy truce with the Vampires after the long running war that had been waged for months. It was brutal, and as the Werewolf and Vampire bodycount rose, both sides decided that even if they didn't want peace or agreement, they wanted to survive, so they agreed to a cease-fire. However, the Glass Walkers have noticed some of their Tribe have gone missing. When they investigate what may have happened, they begin to fear vampire involvement, and a break to the treaty. The Glass Walkers fear a renewal of hostilities, so they sent word to their forest bretheren for aid, and have been looking into it. They found a high level vampire snooping about some of the places their bretheren lived or went frequently, and now are almost sure of involvement. Now they plan to strike back, believeing this to be an isolated terrorist cell, and destroy these vampires in vengence for their kin... Fallen: In a neighboring city next to the main city, there has been news of a new cult trying to work it's way in to the city. This is of course troublesome news to the Fallen, who fear they may lose followers to new cults. After investigating and interfering with their vanguard's, the Fallen decided to go straight to the problem. They found out where these cultists came from, and have now traveled to the main city to look into this cult and find it's roots to put an end to it. Mages: Also in another neighboring city, the Mages were close friend with a mage in Main City. However, over a month ago their friend told them about a new experiment he/she was going to attempt, and has been silent ever since. Fearing the worst, a group of mages have been sent to find out the fate of their friend and this "Experiment" the friend was attempting... Hunters (NPCs): The Hunters have been alerted to higher then normal levels of supernaturals in the city, and have begun to investigate why. So far they haven't learned all thay want but it seems a high level Vampire, most likely an Elder, may have done something a month ago that is making the Werewolves angry. They decide that this is an opportunity they don't want to miss out on, to hurt the Vamps and the Wolves in one blow, and they begin to keep a close eye on both, trying to decide when th strike... The sides will break down for the first part into: Vampires: Combat and Traveling through city. Trying to get to Vampire Counsel. Werewolves: Tracking and hunting the Vampires. Trying to kill them in vengence for their lost kin. Demons: Following the trail of this cult and any likely leads. Think it is a threat, either to the City if they are a good Fallen, or to their power base if they are an evil Fallen... Mages: Follow the trail of their friend and try to figure out what happened a month ago. Hunters: Kill supernaturals wherever they meet them. Nuff said. Basically the 5 sides will turn into a running battle and get pulled in/forced in by events in the story. The first part will feature a lot of combat. However, there will be a second phase to the story, that while it can be guessed what it is, I won't reveal all the details of, so that phase will require infiltration and information gathering, and more varied skills then the first half. |

reality: That reminds me of a comic I always wanted to do... but my artistic skills failed me. IHMN, Demon, Mage: IIRC, only Bane-filled fetishes can be attuned to by Leeches, so a vamp could use a Baneklaive, plus 5 dots of Potence, plus Strength bumped up to 10 with blood, and cut a car in half with one swing. FZ: I actually did the backstory and a rough timeline for the Lupine/Leech war if you're interested, I can put it up... And maybe it's best to just drop the idiosyncratic character info and just use the rules... This is the major problem of WW crossover games - a LOT of info to integrate and still keep the game thematic. I can keep up, mostly because I'm bored and read lots of WW stuff, but I doubt everyone is as free (or as dissipated) as myself. |
Crap, lots of reading up to do.

Great job on the story FZ. I take it the Vampire Councel will be held in the city where the Earthbound was summoned. That would most likely lead us all together for much fighting with eachother. I'll get my charecter sheet finalized this weekend. He has a load of his freebie points in backgrounds, man that guy has everything. Also, are mages supposed to chose weapons? or is that part of the Wonder background? Thanks guys.
|
Wonder refers to magickal items. A regular gun is hardly magickal, and would fall under Resources/Arsenal instead.
|
Hey Dante, got a temperary internet connection I see. As to the background on the war, it might be best if you PM it to me and I look it over first.
