Poor little Changelings, and their shiny, happy magicks...

I didn't think the Garou were waging war on all of humanity; in fact, I thought they were trying to indirectly SAVE humanity, through the defeat of the metaphysical Big Bad of the Wyrm. Wyrm-tainted people are barely human anymore, and Black Spiral Dancers are DEFINITELY not human. Entropy is supposed to be a valuable component of the Triat or whatever, the Garou just believe it's gotten out of control, striving to not only bring decay to those structures which have passed their prime, but all living, dynamic things.

I personally think Hitler himself was of the Wyrm. At first glance, he might seem to be more Weaver material, but he was not truly trying to bring order and stability, he was obsessed with bringing destruction, pain, and death to the land.

Except the Garou (with the exception of glasswalkers and some bone gnawers) tend to see any society more advanced than tribal ones as destroying the planet, or evil.

And Hitler did want to bring order and stability, he was just going about it in a needlessly painful manner...

How did the phrase "of the wyrm" come about? Is it just a saying, or where all "of the wyrm" supernaturals born of said wyrm?

Krylo 04-22-2004 08:01 PM

It just means that they're part of the wyrm... not really much more to it, I believe. The worm isn't a physical being, and can't really give birth to something. It's an insubstantial thing, but something you're part of. I guess the closest would be like a religion or something like that. You aren't born of the baptist church, but you are still part of it (assuming you're baptist). You aren't born of the wyrm, but if you taint the earth with the stink of what the werewolves consider evil, then you are part of it.

So its basically just metaphorical slang for "j00 n0t m3! u r teh 3vil! you are teh suxorrz!" correct?

IHateMakingNames 04-22-2004 08:57 PM

What are some good werewolf names?

Royalspork 04-22-2004 08:59 PM

I don't know? But something tells me it has Lupus in it.

Go with a strong, manly name, something Irish or German.

Or something generically wolfy, like "Fang" or "Claw"....

Actually, that's too generic. Don't do that unless you have no other options.

Nevermind, I have the perfect name for my German wolf.

Wolfe (Pronounced Voolf I think, It's a German name).

Good call. That's a lot better than Fang, or Claw ...
