Something Wicked This Way Comes...

Damn, I come back from four days of pitched combat and the RP DIES? BAH!
(Life here is a crotch)
Anyways.

If FZ needs help, I am always here...

And reality: What is an Infinite Essence? The Mage book implies that the existence of the other four Essences for the Awakened implicitly defines the Infinite Essence (or at least, gives big mega hints as to what it should be), but my Intelligence score is 1 and I don't get it. Any ideas?

EDIT: Just noticed that I said the RP was dead, when it hadn't even started yet... my bad, my bad. But does this imply that this RP is a Neverborn? Hmm... Malfean RPs... hmm...

Not to bager you (if you don't have time this can wait) but for vampire will we be using the humanity rules (all vampires are essentially on a slippery slope which ends in the beast winning and the vampe becoming a mindless animal).

Also the Tremere are a clan of vampires who used to be mages... how does this mesh in your world? You could just ignore it but if you aren't gonna do that some treatment might be needed. In WOD pretty much everyone hates the tremere...

EDIT: Dante the RP is hardly dead... just the WOD part of it. Even that is still there more or less just what FZ says goes instead of what the rulebook says...

Gleeeyegh... [half-animal snarl] Oh, I see. Then I call dibs on mages... wait, mages are full... Damn, I'll stick with vamps, then.

My offer of assistance still stands, regardless.

The onyl difference is now we don't go around killing eachother, we're going to team up, find stuff and investigate, then slaughter something.

I don't know where the idea that WOD was primarily combat based came from in the first place.... IMO this change is very much for the better.

I thought your pitched combat was against mosquitos the size of vans in the swamp?

RP Dead? No.

Big RP change of direction? Yes.

I'm being oppressed!

Yes, that is one of the things I know about Vampires is their sliding Humanity as they must become more predatory and less human to live their new life. It will be included in the RP, since it has more to do with the nature of a vampire and less the background culture/story.

*Thinks* Umm, a wizard did it, next question...

But seriously, they were most likely a group of normal mages that experimented to much in death and the undead and improving themselves. Eventually their experiments accidently turned them into vampires. While they found this new rush of power thrilling, the other mages are disgusted and horrified by them and cast them out. Now they are still pretty much hated, by the mages as a scar of what dark magics did, by the vamps because they aren't real vampires, and by the wolves because they are evil undead and must be killed. The Fallen are the only ones that are neutral to them, because many of the Demonologists that have discovered the existance of the Fallen (And 99% of those Demonologists have then subsequently gone missing...), so while they fear discovery, they admire their talents and think they could be converted into useful allies eventually.

Is this starting before the end of the school year or after the end of the school year? I just got grounded over the weekend(for bad grades) and won't be able to get on much until then.

Forever Zero 04-27-2004 09:12 PM

Ouch. Well, it depends on when your school year ends. The official sign-up will most likely go up in two weeks after my Finals are done, and the RP will start most likely one week after that so there is time to resolve any issues people may have.

Well, that too, but there was this scene:

I was sitting in the undergrowth with a friend at night, and we were basically waiting for the Blue Force (I was with the OPFOR this time round, and we're the enemies, or Red Force) to come and find us.

Suddenly there's a rustling in the undergrowth, and my friend turns around and trains his weapon on the sound. Me being a medic, I have nothing more lethal than my IV cannulas, so I sit back and watch.

"Eh, who's that?"

"Charlie Company OC-." (IE the enemy company's commanding officer)

Without waiting for anything else, my friend stands up and sprays the area until the OC's Lazer Tag system starts beeping to indicate that he is, indeed, stone cold dead. Disgusted, the OC turns around and a voice asks from behind him, "What happened?"

"I'm dead lah, you idiot!"

I also wish to add that only four men of that company survived the ensuing firefight when they charged a defensive position held by a force one third their number.

New thread? New type of WoD backstory, seems appropriate.
