true, but since that is impossible, we must assume that the character who said that never studied advanced Physics.
|
Think about it, if you move at the speed of light, then moving for even an ever-so-brief moment would send you flying across the planet, and then when you stop, your blood would keep moving due to the nature of physics and you'd basically kill yourself.
|
Yes, let us bring in physics and such into this. Lets see how well Raistlin starts doing in his battles.
|
Raistlin would do just fine in his battles. He's not defying physics at all.
|
Better wording. Bringing realistic things into unrealistic battles, now let us see how well Raistlin does.

There's a difference between realistic things and physics. If all fantasy things defied physics, then that means there would be no gravity, and everyone in DBZ could fly. Or just kinda float around. Besides, we're disacknowledging the "speed of light" crap that Raditz supposedly pulled. If we were disacknowledging unrealistic things, then all these battles could never happen, except for my right foot vs. your face. |
Most fantasy does defy physics, as well as other things. I could just as easily disacknowledge magic. Or, an even easier way, I can say that the DBZ characters move that fast because of magic (Or Chi, which ever you prefer).
The fact of the matter is, they move at least at the speed of light. And actually, they could. With all realistic things put into play, Goku (He would be human) vs. Raistlin. Old man fighting a highly trained fighter, who wins? |
Magic never defies the laws of physics, it just bends them, or warps them.

Besides, it's never been proven that you can't move faster than the speed of light. No one's been able to test the theory of relativity successfully... it just meshes very well with things we CAN test. But so did the idea that the earth is the center of the solar system and the planets revolved around us in neat little scribbly lines. And Otaku, one more blatant flame like that and I'm going to report you. I don't care that it's directed toward someone else, or even if it's directed toward someone I don't like. This "right foot vs. your face" bullshit is just that, bullshit. It's not even clever bullshit. |

Edit - That sentence came out incredibly wrong... (Repost) Anyway, new fight. Dogs vs Cats. |
