Or, maybe they can only move faster then light for short distances?

Or, you're looking way to deep into a anime/manga that was basically a joke.

the only way to move faster than the speed of light is

1: increase the speed of light 1st (futurama referance)

2: Go to lint speed (the tick)

3: Ludicrous speed (space balls)

Okay, but unless we're arguing that Goku always wins every fight because of his magical powers of self-contradiction, you have to go with the more likely answer.

You weigh 1400 pounds? Dude, Atkins.

I'm sorry, you just spent how long arguing that Goku, a character from that anime, would win against Superman, a comic book character, because the laws of physics are mutable? And basing your argument on the idea that every specific utterance in the show by any character is unquestionable truth as unto the Writ of God?

Er, cognitive dissonance the what now?

I'm choosing to interpret this comment as "Well, I can't actually come up with a retort for your argument, so I'm just going to imagine that it isn't there so I can go on thinking that I'm right."

I like to think of the bus thing as being more a question of actually balancing it as opposed to lifting it. I'm not sure why I would even bother rationalizing anything in DB though.

there are many rational thing in DB such as...... holy crap he's right

Really, every story has their own contradictions, just DBZs are so much easier to find.

Krylo 05-16-2004 10:35 PM

Oops, Added a zero. Fine, it's only 7 tons for just his body. He later had 70 ton weights on all of his limbs, though... granted, that was when he was stronger...

A bus full of people weighs about 3-6 tons (depending on the bus, the people, etc).

Edit: Pssst... I'm pretty sure bit is a chick.

Edit: British busses get up to 9 tons, I guess... but that was no where near the size of a british bus, that he lifted.

Was the "Move faster then speed of light for short distances" not a reasonable answer? It would mean they can't move that fast for 3000 miles, but they can for half of a mile.
