They move (Fight) normally faster then the eye can see, and faster then anything can see. And then there is the whole lack of wind thing.

Anyway, Cat Woman wins. All Cheetara can do is run really fast, not much else. She was never some great fighter.

they aren't moving at all when they teleport, they just go from one place to another without crossing the distance between the two points.........that's how teleportation works *sigh*.

this is a Drow fighter (assume a graduate of Melee-Magthere, for those of you who know about Forgotten Realms) vs. a Japanese Ninja, the other is that same Drow fighter vs. a Japanese Samurai...........this isn't drow vs. human, this is sneaky warrior vs. sneaky warrior, and trained swordsman vs. trained swordsman.....how does that not make sense?

IHateMakingNames 05-17-2004 02:08 PM

Teleporting is faster then the speed of light (Because you go from point A to point B instantly)...

If it's the same Drow, then it's Sneaky warrior who is also a trained Swordsman vs. Sneaky warrior, then Sneaky warrior who is also a trained Swordsman vs. trained swordsman.

Dragonsbane 05-17-2004 02:10 PM

teleportation has no speed, because it isn't movement.....it takes you outside of normal space/time and puts you back in at the desired point in space (almost no time passes).

a ninja is considerably sneakier than your average drow warrior, though neither of them fight fair. I agree about drow warrior vs. Samurai though, Drow are also expert swordmen, and they don't fight fair....

I'm guessing the Ninja beats the Drow, but the Drow beats the Samurai

Lets just use the two giants from either side. Japan gets Shinmen Musashi, the ronin who wrote Go Rin No Sho, and the drow of course, get Drizzt. Now, having magical items involved in this fight wouldn't really be fair, since Musashi was a real person and didn't have access to magic, so they both get normal weapons.

Dragonsbane 05-17-2004 02:41 PM

I think Miamoto Musashi is the samurai you are referring to, actually......and Drizzt is unusual for a drow in that he fights with honor.

I don't think it's a good idea to use those two as the combatants for Drow Warrior vs. Japanese Samurai.....since Drizzt is so different from a typical Drow.

BitVyper 05-17-2004 02:43 PM

His original name was Shinmen Musashi No Kami Fujiwara No Genshin. Try saying it in one breath though.

Edit: I seem to recall a fight wherein Drizzt specifically stated: "I don't fight fair," or something along those lines. Regardless; he is still the best among them. Don't forget his second year at that school.

Edit 2: and Musashi wasn't typical of a samurai or a ronin; that's one of the reasons he was the best. Neither of them are typical, but they're both the best that their lands have produced.

I can say it in one breath because I have a large lung capacity.

But anyway, as much as I want to go with Musashi, I think I have to go with Drizz't. Drizz't has two swords, while Musashi only has his katana.

And actually, wouldn't Musashi have access to some magic-type skills due to his constant meditation? Things like ki, perhaps?

Dragonsbane 05-17-2004 02:52 PM

Drizzt did that to beat Berg'inyon, before he became disgusted with Drow society and left.

Krylo 05-17-2004 02:53 PM

Actually, Musashi invented the fighting style where one uses a katana and a shoto or a wakizashi together. So they both have two swords. Drizzit had magical equipment though... so he still has the edge.
