That's been done a lot, Bit. And it always comes down to "Samus flips around doing her screw attack for all eternity, being unable to hit X because he's on the ground, while X waits and watches for her to come down so he can shoot her."
|
ryu easily wins against doctor light. when ryu's about to lose, he almost always gets possessed by the dark hado. when he's like that, he's stronger than shin akuma, and NORMAL akuma sunk an island with a single punch. so... yeah.. seeing as normal ryu and megaman are pretty much evenly matched in MvC2 and Megaman is probably stronger than light (who'd go and make a robot when you can do it yourself), ryu wins.
but i'm obviously not biased or anything. at all no sir what about forte vs. samus? forte can shoot in directions other than horizontal... |
"sunk an island with a single punch" WTF!!!??? (sorry, I couldn't help myself.....) how do you do THAT!!!???
|
Anyone from Megaman vs Samus = Same old crap. DO NOT RESTART THIS AGE OLD BATTLE!
New battle: Serge vs Chrono, the battle of the Mute Squaresoft Heros... |
Serge from Radical Dreamers, or Serge from CC? The Radical Dreamers one was a pussy, but at least he had personality.
Even the powered up Masamune was still way inferior to the Rainbow, and the Mastermune can't be that much better, so Chrono wins the Melee. As for Magic, it's hard to say. Chrono obviously has more power, since his Luminaire does a lot more damage, but Serge has versatility. Chrono's woman is better looking, but she's a ditz... but she's a hot RICH ditz. Serge doesn't even know his woman at the end of the game. Chrono has a time machine, whereas Serge is bound to one time. Chrono goes back in time and kills Serge's parents. Edit: Sorry, I didn't know about that battle. |
To sink an island with a punch, you punch the island. It crumbles into pieces and sinks. Easy enough (Though, I have never heard of Akuma sinking an island with a punch).
|
yes.........but according to the laws of Physics a punch like that, no matter HOW powerful, should just knock off a piece of it.........
|
I haven't played through all of Radical Dreamers yet (Although I agree on the RD Serge is a wuss... He had trouble killing a freaking cat...), but I meant the better known Chrono Cross version.
Actually, I am less sure. For personality, Chrono wins, because Serge just sort of goes through the whole game without a clue as to what is going on, while Chrono has purpose. Plus as you said, Chrono ends up with Marle, and Serge ends up... Alone? It's not mentioned... In Melee, Serge is pretty powerful. I gave him the Spectral Swallow, and his level 3 attack does about 300-400 damage, and the Masamune does even more. I can't remember how much Chrono and the Rainbow did on average though. I call this a tie, because I'm not sure what Chrono's Physical damage was when he had his best weapon. In Magic, I have to give the nod to Serge. Chrono maxes out at Luminare as his best skill, and while that is strong, against bosses I never thought it had enough punch. Serge maxes out at Flying Arrow as his best 'Personal' Attack, or Supernova as his best 'Standard' attack, and Supernova is a battle ender, even at bosses about midway through the game. Even Flying Arrow does about 500-600 damage, and I always thought Luminare was in the 400 range. For allies, Chrono wins. Serge may have Kid, but Chrono has Magus. Game Over for Serge and company. Fore equipment, Chrono wins again. Serge can go between two world, Chrono can travel through Time. Like you said, Chrono goes back and kills Serge, battle over. So 3 to 1 with 1 tie, Chrono would win in my book. |
I say Serge wins. I really really WANT to say Chrono, but you can't really take the damage as a direct translation... plus Serge can do equal damage, both in melee and in magic, at max levels as Chrono at max levels (if you use the right magic).
And, fact of the matter is Chrono gets killed, somehow. It hasn't been long enough in CC for him to die of old age. And Lucca is killed by Lynx with little effort. Serge kills Lynx... thus Serge is FAR stronger than Lucca... or at least should be. Edit: Serge has Harle for the allies... and the masked guy was going to be Magus/Janus, but they just left that story arc half finished. So Serge would win for allies. |
Lynx LET Serge win, remember? Even Magus couldn't take him in Radical Dreamers.
Edit: and he was stuck in Serge's body the next time. |
