Then the "knived" and "bashings" work the same way as the dinosaur foot. As for the mace, that just stings like hell for a while, you can keep going after that.
Jeff has armor, the game even says he picked up some specially made armor he has before he leaves his school. And the sword thing doesn't even relate to this at all. Now you are just trying to make up anything you can think of to put even a slight doubt onto Ness. Anyway, we need a new fight, this is getting repetitive and boring. Sabertooth vs. Rhino (From Spiderman). |

How am I giving Ness more reasons to win?
Oh, and look at this(I found a save game; didn't need to start a new file)! Ness doesn't have his Psi Shield(and he has to activate it, anyway, since it's not an auto-effect)! But he's taking hits! Yep, looks like RPG HP to me! |
Natural, passive psionic shield. That means it is always on, and it is just his natural psionic power 'leaking out' you could say into a natural shield around him. PK shield just enchances that natural shield.
Note that none of this is said in the game or anything, but I'm just making a logical guess as to how this works because you seem to demanding on it. |
So then I guess Mantis has a natural, passive psionic shield around him, too, and that's how he can take 20 shots in the head? And because the bullets don't actually hit Mantis(or any of the other FOX HOUND members for that matter since apparently they're all psychic, too) but rather his(an their) psionic shields?

Otaku, that is the point I've been making since this started. Ness can't be beat for that reason specifically. Any way you slice it, he lasts that long. Whether he can actually take those hits due to his operating on a different set of rules, or whether he's just learned to avoid various physical and mental attacks that well, including 98357908759837450983745098734058734089573047534785 09347509348509375093847598346759082365972369048723 90870238750239875028374082735087230587234908570239 872837502843750823740827340892735023 metric tons of stone falling on him.
This topic has become slightly more stupid than a Dragon Ball Z forum, and that is sad enough to bring tears to even the coldest of men. This is ridiculous, and if I were any of you, I would do what I did a few pages back and jump off it in an attempt to save whatever dignity you have left. |
You know how your argument sounds Otaku. A little something like this: Lets take two RPG characters one near godly and the other not so much. Then for some reason we are going to strip away all the RPG Rules that make the godly one good and leave the other one alone because his game follows real life more. Not exactly a sound argument. Its equal footing, most likely in full RPG because outside RPG nothing of their powers makes real practicle sense, or the fight is worthless.

I think Otaku would fall in love with the one mage from Adventurers...
|
Then let's beef up Mantis and give him RPG-like ablities, too(as a note, no, MGS is not a RPG). So now he has 999 HP like Nessand they take turns swatting each other with whatever.
[Edit]BMH, Adram is a male. I am a straight male. No, I would not fall in love with him. And since he has no woman, I can't steal her.[/Edit] |
Finally...well, Ness wins. He has all of Mantis's powers, plus Psychic walls, plus he killed a god...
|
And why would Mantis not have thse things if he's given RPG-like abilities?
