Question: Why does Dan have to be blocking everything for this? I thought it was a matter of whether or not I could pull it off. He isn't dodging. He isn't attacking. But, for some strange reason, he has to block, even though there isn't a goddamn thing I can do about it.

If Dan is blocking it it means you're not doing it correctly. You should be actually hitting him. There isn't really an easy way to do it that isn't "do it really fast".

What worked for me was getting one perfect (no more) and three ultra finishes (no more, no less). Oh and you have to have beaten it with Akuma first.

I too wish they did that in game, but I just had to make due with this, which helps a lot. The main thing I noticed that the combo thing doesn't say is that you gotta dash into some of them to keep them going. Oh yeah, I'm also on the 'screw EX Focus Attack cancels' boat.

If you installed the game this may be the problem. It was for me anyway, so I'm happy in the knowledge that I wasn't just making excuses and don't actually suck quite that hard.

I've heard the same thing at work a lot lately, honestly.

I neither installed the game nor downloaded the patch when I first fought him and the update which I then downloaded has made no difference. It's ok though, that video I found has served me pretty well in beating him so far, it just requires not using anything other than crouch HK and the occasional focus or EX-special if you can make him dizzy for a while. Or even an Ultra, if you can manage it.

I'll never be able to do it on any higher difficulties though.

And I'm still getting my arse kicked online! 6 Fights, no wins so far. Think I'll just stick to fighting my friends for a bit, at least I know they're about as good as me.

I've been playing Ranked a little and the playerbase is generally better there in terms of ability. Got the win 3 matches in a rouw achievement now.

I got everyone unlocked over the weekend and managed to beat it with everyone on Medium difficulty so I would get the 360 achievement. Also beat it on the hardest difficulty with Zangief. I went online for most of yesterday and I've got about 60 wins out of 100 ranked matches so far. Not doing too shabby, but the longest winning streak I can manage is 6 currently. If anyone else has the 360 version and wants to play a match online hit me up with a PM.
