Prom Hair Styles
ok this is gonna sound wierd. But my g/f wants my to post this for her. She has been going crazy trying to find hairstyles for the prom online and she has had NO luck. And because she has short(its a little under shoulder lenght)(but the way its cut(its layered) makes it seem shorter) she has had massive problems finding hair styles for the prom that are for people with short hair. Would anybody happen to know where she kind find a website to help her out so she can stay stop hogging the computer?????? :wmage:

She should either make her hair white, and come down to her ass; or make it a pony tail with a radiational green color. But if you want a SERIOUS site, I'm out of ideas. Sorry... |
My hair's the exact same length with some layering. And my bf's prom is comin' up too =/
I'm probably gonna go with loose curls. Not Shirly Temple or Drew Berrymore style, just a few large locks with a little twirl. |
Oh, I don't know.. maybe ask a hair stylist or something? You know, a person trained in such an area and not a bunch of strangers on the Internet, to be polite about it.

synk - that was just plain rude. General discussion is for just that. If you had nothing worthwhile to add, you should have just kept it quiet.
Anyways. If you're looking for good hairstyles may I suggest a simple google search? You'll come up with a lot of different styles that way. |

GIve this site a try, it has a bunch of links for different hair style ideas. I'm not sure if any of these apply to your gf, but hopefully you can get some idea and maybe even modify it to suit your gf's length. |
Bobby pins, lots of bobby pins..... last year my girlfriend had about 50 in her hair, and she had short hair, looked pretty good.

That short of hair might be a problem for prom hairstyles. She might just want to flip it out or in with a hair curler (of if she's a redhead, who usually look good with curls) Curl her hair.
Or, if she has the right color of hair and she doesn't mind wearing one of those fake hair peices, that could do the trick. My friend didn't have long enough hair for her costume in color guard, so they got a fake hair peice, and people seriously can't tell it's not her real hair, and it looks really nice too. Or get one of those "Hairstyle" magazines. They have ones that are just for short hair and they have all kinds of prom-worthy hair. EDIT and like Realm said, LOTs of bobby-pins. For dance recital, my theory is "Once you think you have enough, put five more in." |
Definitely bobby pins are a must. You need to have more bobby pins than hair really. I remember that two days after my prom, I was still pulling bobby pins out of my hair.

True, there is worth in getting suggestions from others. I suppose the correct thing to do, at this point, is offer apologies to any insulted and go about my business. Speaking of bobby pins.. I was finding them in the car for about a month after one of the Proms. Or maybe it was Homecoming. In any case, there were so many used that I guess several could fall out and the hair still remain "intact." |
