Seil Likes Video Games And Won't Shut Up About It!

Now, as many of you people are aware of, Valentines Day is a day of booze/caffeine, video games, and a heart shaped box of chocolates you bought to console yourself after you were rejected by that cute indie girl who works in the record store down the street. Or, if you're a girl, booze/caffeine, video games, and the heart shaped box of candy you took from the shy awkward guy before you slammed the door in his face. Either/or.

What vidjya games has Seil been playing this day? Why, Metal Gear Solid! I find it just lovely. And also Silent Hill - although Homecoming wasn't... the best in the series, it looked lovely. These are my two favorite game series of all time, not just because of the story/lore that the game has accumulated, not because of the rich and interesting characters, but because it's fun. Because in MGS, I can run through a maze of storage rooms on a remote military outpost in the middle of Alaska and fall through a pitfall in the floor and keep playing.

What will you people be consoling yourself with today? ...Other than chocolate, or course.

PyrosNine 02-14-2009 11:06 PM

Today Pyros curled up in the fetal position, cried, and ate cheap chocolate.

Of course, the fetal position is a natural course for un gato as I am, but the chocolate can't be too healthy. I hear dogs can't eat it, but eh....

In terms of vidjamagames, I have been playing MUGEN, Summon Knight: SwordCraft Story for the GBA, FF Tactics Advance (obviously), and Half-Life 2: Substance ( a neato Half-Life mod that infuses Metal Gear Solid into Half Life, and ramps up the difficulty).

I also watched a Street Fighter Movie. Alpha, not the actual movie, because I cant find the old cassette tape and listen to how awesome the guy who played Bison was. Seriously. There should be a movie just about someone playing Bison like that. And not about Chun-Li. Tomorrow I shall watch Street Fighter II V (what's with the V?) and maybe the Animated Movie.

I got a heart-shaped box of chocolates from a girl. never mind that said girl was my mom. u_u

Anyways, I went through some Item World dungeons in Disgaea DS, and then I finally decided to start playing The World Ends With You again after a 3-month hiatus. SOH-CAH-TOA? More like Socially-Ostracized-Hearts-Carry-Anguish-Hurtfully-Timelessly-Ostensibly-Alone.

Holy crackamole I thought I was the only one in the world who owned that game. I played through it, like, 3 times.

Final Fantasy XI, fer sure, dood.

Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime at times, as well. Despite being mostly easy, it's very fun.
