Coolest Superhero/Fictional Character

I just had a job interview recently, and they asked me this as the last question. (The job was for a college computer lab help desk job - easiest job ever. Get paid to sit there and play on the internet / do your homework).

I answered Gambit, because I love his ability a lot, and how he uses it. Static Shock was a close second.

Who is your favorite?

Anything - Comic Book, Movies, Animes, Shows, etc.

Solid Snake. He's so badass he saved the world - like, three or four times - and is pretty nonchalante about it.

I'm gonna go with Battle Pope on this one.

Just cuz.

All of my answers are predictable and you know what they are.

So, I'm going to say Battle Pope too.

I don't know how you're gonna win a coolness competition by citing things that are actively non-cool.

I mean God knows I love words but I'm not about to pretend it ranks next to inadvertently inventing Rock and Roll on the Fonzie Scale of Absolute Coolness.

Si Civa 02-23-2009 04:00 AM

It's hard to get cooler than Corto Maltese.
And Captain Haddock and Hobbes are also cool.

And I'm little bit curious. Why did they ask that question anyway?

It's hip to be square, babeh.

I'll just point out that while "mad scientist partner" is included in one list, "teen with a garage band partner" isn't included in the other, testifying to the relative coolness of both characters.

To be fair I guess that's "garage mad scientist", but it still speaks for itself.

So the Fonzie scale of absolute coolness is like the Kelvin scale of absolute heat?
