Shock & Surprise : The Legend of Chun-Li seems to suck
currently with a 00% ( 0 out of 22 review are positive ) on Rotten Tomatoes and 21 out of 100 on Metacritic
The movie is out now, making so far just a tad over 4 million (from a 50 million budget) in 4 days, anyone of you had a chance to watch it? Is it really this bad? I mean... it's ranking lower than the previous Street Fighter movie!! |
Haven't seen it yet. I was planning on giving it a go if I can get my friends to come with. This weeks agenda is Watchmen though.

-Movie based on a video game? Check. -Starring an actress whose best preformance is on a facewash commercial? Check. -Also has 'Kingpin' from the Daredevil movie. The DAREDEVIL MOVIE?!! Check. |
To answer myself: Chun-Li fetishes.
Even the animated SF movies are sub-par. Why would people have high hopes for this?

What confuses me is that I was never aware that Chun-Li was all that legendary to begin with. Her thighs, totally, but Lana Lame over there really doesn't fit the role in that regard. Really the whole concept just leaves me terribly confused.

People probably still go expecting to see Ryu hadoken Sagat.
Indeed. She had connections to the main plot, of course, but if you're going to go ahead and include many members of the SF roster in the movie anyway why focus on her story?

Haha. One review says even Uwe Boll could have done better. You should need a licence to carry an ice burn of that caliber.
