Ya know, I can totally see why you would say that. I can certainly understand the feeling of having something you worked dearly on be made into... well, things like that.

I for one plan to watch Watchmen as well but the real thing to watch for is if anyone else is going to be watching the Watchmen and if those Watchmen watchers like what they watch.

More on topic, at first I thought it was just a general MMORPG, which would be a horrible and stupid idea. An iPhone MMO isn't quite the worst idea ever. If they have to whore out Watchmen, I'm glad they're keeping it to relatively low-key DLC and phone based games, rather than some big and overblown phenomenon of suck.

His opinion is more that the movie will be shit not that it won't be popular and do well. These are pretty much always opposite things.

An Iphone MMO is actually a good idea. Cause I don't play MMOs cause I have better things to do at home but I could see myself getting into it on the bus ride everyday.
I'm not really down for a watchman MMO but I like the thinking behind it.
