Flesh eatting zombies?

I resently saw Dawn of the Dead in the theaters and I my friend brought up an interesting point. There have "supposedly"been documented rabies cases (don't ask me where these documents are I don't know) that are similar in nature. Obviously the people don't and then get back up and start killing. More like the patience goes nuts and starts clawing and biting anybody who gets in there way.
Can anyone confirm this?

that book has some documented cases of "zombie" outbreaks.

What advances were made in the field of Necromancy that made zombies so much faster? Remember the old zombie movies? You know the ones where all the zombies limp along at the speed of chair saying "braaaiiinns...braaaiins..." In Dawn of the Dead they chase after a bus like the frickin' T-1000!! (the liquid terminator from the second movie)

Yeah, I thought Dawn of the Dead's zombies were 1000 times scarier because they could run down a bus... The old zombies you could kick down and walk away laughing, they couldn't get up in time to do anything about it. Kinda like turtles and kittens.

Pfft...
Fire is your friend against the Zombie Menace!

the Necromancers must have upgraded to Linux or something to make the zombies more efficient.

The speed of cha'r....that must have been the absolute funniest thing I;ve heard all week. Thank you, Jack.

Hlorridi 04-21-2004 04:52 PM

I can confirm this.

Because it happened to me.

It must have been about, oh I'd say, a good four weeks ago. I was just minding my own business at the cemetery when alluvasudden three hands clawed their way out of the ground and started gasping. I guess they were tired.

It figures Zombies would move slow because they're rotting corpses, so all of their muscles wouldn't be intact anyway.

TheZeroMan 04-22-2004 09:27 PM

Bah fast moving Zombies are bunk... at least after rigor mortis and decomposition. If they were "fast" they would have only a few hours.

And Zombies that say "brains" are only in existance with in really bad zombie movies such as the "Return of the Living Dead" Series and those were fairly horrible.

I often wondering in any of these movies how is Zombies can destroy civilization considering we hav in our power an army, which has tanks and napalm.

Did anyone catch that ode to Night of the Living Dead in the Dawn of the Dead?

"That one's a twitcher".
