Sonic and the Black Knight

Opening + 1 Stage

First Boss

The Japanese Ultimate Trailer

And finally, my very first hook on thsi game... the Theme Song. Corny as hell, but MAN i just LOVE IT! Knight of the Wind Full version here

I dont know... some reviews are good, others are bad... gameplay looks actually good (albeit simplistic...) and im kinda on the fence over this one. What do you guys think? Anyone tried?

I read on a reputable games review... er... (something on Teletext on UK TV, it's not a program but it's also got a mirror website) that it would feature the Werehog again a few days ago. Whilst I've never played a 3D Sonic game nor do I want to, that little detail was interesting because I've seen all the facepalming at Sonic Team here and elsewhere about their design choices, Werehog included. So, yeah, reincluding it in this game or a future game? :sweatdrop

It's rumored that the Werehog will appear in another game, but he is not on this one. On this one Sonic just uses a sword and there are no loops

My opinion from the last thread still stands, as does my inability to purchase the game and prove myself wrong or correct.

Oh, but I have a new opinion that the IGN review has doo-doo in its soul. Seriously, they say it takes too long to kill baddies because you have to stop and sword fight them. Except you don't, as demonstrated by whoever was playing that first boss fight and used the same jump attack Sonic's always had to instantly dispatch those armor guys. It's like the reviewer intentionally played the game wrong to give it a poor score.

But, whatever, like I said, I can't make a valid judgment.

Sorry, after Unleashed I'm not trusting any more "Sonic gimme a gimmick" titles.

P.S. Gimme Sonic Rush 3 and I'll turn around.

Hey if they could just recreate the original 4-5 Sonic Games in pretty 3D, that could be kind of cool. Might tighten up the current control scheme and terrible mind bending camera issues if they just simplified it all.

I say who gives a damn about these assembly line trash titles when the Sega Genesis Collection just released for both 360 and PS3, costs much less, and includes most of the Sonic games plus a truckload of other Genesis titles.

Damn right, though I did tend to abuse the save anywhere function.

It seems Sonic Unlimited may reinclude werehog which means werehog is here to stay... shit. Also Sega is now working on rush 3. Since 2 was better then 1 in terms of stage layout then chances are rush 3 will be either.

A. An anti hold right game much like S3&K.

or

B. A poor attemp to include Sonic Adventure like stages.

(A) seems more likely to happen but since they're bring Werehog back. (B) has a very high chance of happening.

If there is a Sonic Rush 3 then they really shouldn't have the "collect x items to unlock this stage!!" gimmick. I do NOT want any form of grinding, however minor, in my platform games, thanks.
