Stewart Vs Cramer

Anyone following the whole "Daily Show Vs CNBC" stuff? For the lulz it seems like good stuff, but for those of you who miss it...

A Good resume of the whole deal right here.

Today Jon Stewart added another layer to the cake

And pretty much everyone had a input on it, even CNN, even Bill O'reilly and the Young turks

BTW you should see these clips as soon as possible, some of them might not be around tomorrow...

What's to happen next?! Stay tuned!

"I was quoted out of context."

I think the moral is "Don't Get Into A Squabble With The Daily Show - You Won't Win".

I mean, hasn't someone else gotten pissed at the Daily Show for making fun of what they've said, only to be thoroughly humiliated by John Stewart?

Yes, Crossfire was canceled a little after Jon was on the show, story goes... he was the reason for it.

The guy packs a funny punch that hurts like hell!

Also Bruce Tinsley, though Stewart didn't even have to do anything for him to look like a jerkass.

Cramer's finally doing the thing anyone who wants to defuse stuff like this does, coming on the show.

Or it'll be a screaming fest. Given Cramer's apparently thin skin and short fuse, who knows?

Bells 03-11-2009 11:55 PM

that's probably going to be a tense moment there... i dont know what Cramer is thinking though. He should've just drop it. The piece wasnt even about him, he made it about him! and he got flak over it.

He is a financial advisor, Jon is a pro comedian... Jon's writing crew is sharp. Cramer tripped on his face with little to no effort. There is absolutely no way he could possible spin this to make himself look good or any better, i dont know what he thinks to do by going there...

Agreed.

While Jon Stewart might not have a real news show...I'd say he gets his facts right nine times out of ten...which is more than we can say for people like Cramer or Bill O'Reilly

Plus no matter what Jon's just going to make a joke out of it.

Though at least he's brave enough to call people out on their mistakes and admit to mistakes of his own instead of just yelling over people. He has the facts on his side and well...as you can see Cramer looks pretty silly.

The Daily Show is awesome

It's incredible to me that people listen to this man.

Granted it's incredible that anyone bases their financial decisions on a damn cable TV program, but especially so that they listen to someone this top-to-bottom dishonest.

But yeah this whole "30% returns and who cares if it drives the entire damn economy into the ground!" ideology that has, well, driven the entire damn economy into the ground, is just really repugnant and I'm glad to see a person who exemplifies it being made to sputter a bit, for all that it's far less than he deserves.
