My Beautiful. Romantic poetry, Go!

There are very few things that make me cry
as much as you seem to do
You lift me up and onto your wings to fly
you always carry through
If I falter, you'll stand there strong
until I find my way
You find the means to carry on
you do that day to day
Without fail, you're always there waiting
until I come around
And even though I've often been debating
you give me solid ground
You are my beautiful, my everything
the reason that I live
And with pride that's why I wear your ring
and accept all that you give
Because this love is beautiful
and now I have no fear
Not because I feel it's dutiful
but because I hold you dear
So I'll try to wipe away the tears
that I so often cry
I'll have you with me through the years
Lifting me on high
And I won't worry and I won't doubt
because I know it true
I'll live this dream and love throughout
loving my beautiful you.

*sniff*

I think I need a hug after that one.

Truely beautiful... Why can't I have someone like that? :(

Holy Crap...

That was powerful stuff...

RaiRai 04-21-2004 05:16 PM

I don't really know what to say about this one. It was written with so much love. I guess I don't believe it to be powerful, but I at least hope it got the point across.

The title is very apt.

Two thumbs up. :) Not forceful, just incredibly loving. It conveys your romantic side. :D

It's good. Not forceful, and that sounds like what you intended. 'Power' isn't nessecery. poetry doesn't need to be filled with = angst, even if it is what gives it that extra good 'kick' at times... But this... Its gentle, and such. I give it the "From the Desk of "The Nique"" stamp of approval.

*Blows nose* Beautiful stuff. Come here SAAM, I need a hug too.

Doesn't "need" power, but certainly has it. Most wonderful.

Wow. Just, wow

That was amazing. I wish I could come accross more poetry that good. I am totally serious here when I say that I found that far better than any of the poetry by Wordsworth that I've read.

RaiRai 04-22-2004 02:44 AM

Woah, now. I never wish to obtain the recognition that major poets like Wordsworth have. I've been writing since I was 7 and have varying styles because I just can't seem to settle down into a writing mindset. I guess I see my work as mediocre at best.

This is about me...

People, this is what you have to look forward to when you find your soulmate..

Sigh~
