He fly off with the dwagons to found a new capitol on the place where Jillian is from. Jillian and Vinnie (and the other vampirey guys) met him there and fought him. It was going badly but Stanley fled thanks to his foolamancer who was Jillian's childhood friend. Foolamancer cast disguises and whatnot.
That's where J and V are at the moment and they hoped that once Gobwin fell Stanley would lose income and couldn't afford his foolamancer and thus become visible again. Last we saw discussing whether to return to Gobwin.
Well that's how I remember it anyway.

I think just like the "four words" thing. Any hint or possibility of V's gender will be a red herring and when it is revealed there will be no question. Though it wouldn't suprise me if it was never revealed. Heck it wouldn't suprise me if Burlew never gave V a gender

Well well, looks like the gang is getting back together. I imagine Vaarsuvius will grab Elan and Durkon, and teleport them all over to the Thieves Guild.

Except for Roy, obviously. It's a shame V can't duplicate divine spells, otherwise Wish+More Wish would clear that up quite nicely. Even still, with all of them back together, they can probably get Roy's body back.

The line about camping. I don't really think that Calvin and Hobbes is the only cultural artefact that expresses the idea that kids really don't like going camping as much as their parents think they should, but it's definitely a prominent example of such.
